• Review all construction related documents and provide proper guidance for better constructability for EPC project execution.
• Study the construction execution plans, procedure for each construction activities and make sure the strategy are well organized for construction execution onsite.
• Study the mechanical & Piping P&ID drawings and identify requirements & scope of work, review specifications, drawings and other related documents of project.
• Review and Identify the tie in hook up packages and other related piping documents prior to construction commencement.
• Ensure all project works are executed safely.
Ensure compliance with health safety environmental and security responsibilities and liaise with HSES personnel and report any breach of procedure.
Assist and work closely with the project construction team with project tracking system schedule management, material distribution/control and any day-to-day construction requirements.
Attending TBT and project safety walkthroughs.
Attending weekly Project meeting and Engineering/Procurement interface meetings.
Liaise with PM and CM with reference to project production issues.
Coordinating with pipe shop, Fabrication shop and Fabrication pads etc. Ensure fabrication on-going at above locations as per schedule.
Coordinating with supervisors for solving various technical issues at site/shops etc.
Liaise with Project Management team with reference to project related Engineering and Materials issues.
Report Engineering - Procurement deliverable delays to Project management team and follow up with concerned department.
Liaise with QC coordinator / Inspectors and assist with monitoring quality related issues.
Attending daily project & production meetings and highlight or solve issues.
Follow up and monitoring of ITR completion.
Liaise with Commissioning Manager / Engineers with reference to commission related issues.
Make sure As-built drawings are submitted by Production to QC as per engineering requirements.
Preparation of Field change request/ Variation Order etc. as per the changes required.
Coordinating with Vendor for the execution of their scope of works as per schedule.
Coordinate with warehouse for prioritizing the material inspection/ release.
Creation of Move order/ Release materials to site as per site requirement.
Assist and monitor materials coordinator for materials issuance process.
Preparation of project related materials requisitions.
Monitor subcontract work scope of work & progress.
Preparation and release of Work packs through oracle system, and regular monitoring.
Preparation of weekly progress report and submit to planning.
Co-ordinate / liaise with other Production/ Project Engineers as required.
Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
Stand in for the project manager /construction Manger during holidays or absence.
• Review the mechanical drawings, piping isometrics, P&ID, structural drawings and verify.
• Follow up EPC contractors, subcontractors, within the discipline scope during the construction to make sure the activities are as per projects and safety standards.
• Execute work in accordance with applicable project procedure and standards, man hour estimation.
• Lead & supervise piping engineering deliverables to meet project schedule.
• Follow up and report any deviations in the project progress
• Responsible for the whole site activities right from fabrication to testing & commissioning.
• Daily monitoring & surveillance of all mechanical, piping, structural works to ensure compliance with specifications and relevant project standards.
• Attend client meetings for smooth progress of the Project.
• Monitoring of QC inspection finalization & coordinate with 3rd party inspection team for welding NDT, RT, PT, Testing's.
• Assist in punch list close out work team and clear it.
• Avoid any SIMOPS, risk during project executions for smooth progress of work.
• Conduct & coordinate with hydro testing, flushing, blowing, flange management, bolt torqueing & Painting teams.
• Assist with reinstatement team for line walk.
• Assist with mechanical completion team.
• Preparation of piping job specifications by subordinates, engineers & advice in any major slippages & causes and propose corrective action.
• Material requisitioning, technical bid evaluation, vendor clarification & co-ordination, vendor documents/drawings review & approval.
• Reviewing the deliverables of the appointed design consultants & coordinating with them for timely submission of the deliverables to client.
• Planning & schedule daily activities, weekly target and report to the construction Manager.
• Coordinate & supervise with sub-contractors’ supervisor, engineer for the spools & supports fabrication, erection, installation.
• Daily monitoring & surveillance of all EPC project activities and ensure all the works are compliance with specification and relevant project standards.
• Ensure all the contractors schedule is commissioning driven and follow up schedules and work progress are not deviated from EPC contract schedule.
• Monitor and allocate proper manpower for the work and request for additional manpower to the manager if require.
• Support Lead engineer for project executions as per EPC client requirements, schedule each job with proper man hours and deadline.
• Attend daily client meetings for smooth progress of the project and rectify if any issues.
• Coordinate with subcontractor’s engineer, supervisor for daily target achievements.
• Assist with QC for inspections, line walk after completion of each Test packages.
• Coordinate with reinstatement punch list team and clear all punches.
• Coordinate with hydro static testing, flushing, and air blowing team for successful completion of test packages.
• Preparation of construction method of statements and procedures for fabrication of piping, installation, erection, testing of piping.
• Laise with engineering team for the completion of approved construction drawings (AFC).
• Check the Bill of material as per drawing for ensuring requirements are realistically quantified as per scope and budget and follow up the delivery of the project construction material.
• Liase with procurement team and material management team to ensure the project piping material delivery are in time as per planned schedule to site.
• Planning the day-to-day activities as per the project milestone.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors for the better progress in site activities.
• Conduct daily meeting for the progress and concern related to the works and coordinate with another department team to avoid any SIMOPS.
• Facilitate timely problem resolution with the construction crew.
• Review the forecasting plan and look ahead schedules and take necessary action to resolve the future work-related issues.
• Assist with mechanical team for mechanical clearance, conducting hydro & pneumatic tests, fulfilling commissioning & pre -commissioning requirements for the projects.
• Guide the project execution team in fabrication, erection, installation, testing.
• Coordinate with QC for releasing piping weld visuals, RT, NDT, reports.
• Ensure the hydro testing reinstatement are done as per procedure.
