Motorola is world renowned, leading supplier of radio communication equipment. Motorola is solution provider of mission critical Digital Radio Trunking Systems. My role is to lead a team of System engineers to look after day to day operation and maintenance of TDMA based Motorola Dimetra Digital Trunking System deployed at Delhi Metro Train Corporation. The system comprises of 02 MSOs operate in redundant mode and 34 eBTS/MTS4 Base Stations sites, provide radio coverage across metro train route and spread over the metropolitan area of New Delhi.
Duties and responsibilties
* Looking after the operation and maintenance of Dimetra radio trunking system installed for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to control the movement of Train operations..
* Peforming system PAT/SAT for radio trunking sub-systems.
* Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Dimetra Digital Trunking System and optimization of the system. The systems comprises of many sub-system viz., MSO, MTS4 Base Stations, Motolocator, Digital Voice recording system for recoding of radio calls, Computer Aided dispatch system, TrainBorne radio equipment and Bidirectional amplifiers for In-building and tunnel coverage.
* Operation and maintenance of Recording Systems Cybertech.
* To do the maintenance and configuration of MTS4/EBTS Base station sites up to Field replaceable units (FRU) level.
* Configuration/maintenance (Backup/restore) of Dimetra system servers viz., Zone Controller, ZNM servers (Full-Vision, Zone Database, Zone Statistical cal Server), UCS, Air Traffic Router, Motorola Routers, HP LAN switches as follows: * Netra240-Sun Microsystem Server
* DL360/370/380-HP server
* HP 2626, HP2616 -Switches
* ST2500, ST6000 -Motorola Routers
* Programming of Tetra hand portables (MTP850) and Mobile radios (MTM800)
* To monitor Full-Vision logs to analyse and rectify the problem.

Worked as Radio Communications Technician in UNLB Radio System Support Unit, responsible for the installation/testing and repair of wide range of communication equipment. Provide campus support of auxiliary equipment UPS, Power supplies and installation of antennas at UNLB tower and provide weekly report the Radio Unit Supervisor.
Duties and responsibilties: * Provided technical support to different United Nations Peace Keeping Missions on different radio communication products.

* To co-ordinate for maintenance of auxiliary like UPS, Microwave radio links used in the trunking system.
* To prepare training manuals and conduct trainings for end users for Motorola analog radio products.
* To conduct field trials to check the coverage and to do site survey for installation of new system.

Duty and Responsibilities: * Test and repairing of switching cards/PCBs of Alactel's E-10B and C-DOT's telephone exchanges used by BSNL.
* Maintain and procure spares for the repair of different equipment.
* Look after the calibration of test equipment viz., Power supplies, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes and multimeters.
* Test and repair of DDF Pertec magnetic tape drives used in telephone switching centers for data storage.
* Travelled across India to BSNL switching centres for the test and repair of above equipment.
