Construction Manager (November 2010 - December 2012) I was tasked with the delivery of the first phase of a road, infrastructure and industrial warehouses construction project in line with the Clients master plan to develop a 6 million m2 Industrial Zone in Abu Dhabi adjacent to Abu Dhabi Industrial City V (ICAD V).

Roles and Responsibility

- Managed Client contractual requirements ensuring all deliverables are achieved in a cost effective and timely manner while maintaining effective quality and HSE standards throughout the construction phase.

- Established critical objectives liaising with the Employer, Technical Advisors, Government Authorities, Third Party Consultants and the Main Contractor.

- As a project manager within the employer’s representative delivery team I drove the construction progress towards contract milestones and the scheduled completion of works.

- Undertook regular site visits, identified and took actions against potential risks related to progress, quality and safety.

- Monitored contractor’s performance and the consultant engineers in identifying deviations from the planned works and create action plans to correct where necessary. Ensured best practices in quality and safety standards achieved at all times.

- Prepared process flow charts and tracking models to monitor the progress on site; established and monitored projects KPI's and implemented necessary interventions where deviations are noted.

- Managed the Review and approval process of engineering design, including all that drawings, specifications, supporting calculations and other documentation of the Project submitted by the Contractors.

- Spearheaded project quality management and overseen the implementation of the Project Quality Plan throughout the construction process.

- Reviewed the performance and monitored progress of commissioning activities of all systems for early identification of the variance and corrective actions.
