Major Attainments during My Tenure in DSOA
1. Emirates Energy Award- Won the prestigious Emirates Energy Award during 2013& 2017 from from Dubai Supreme Council of Energy for reducing the enegy consumption .
2. ISO 50001- Energy management System: Implimented the Energy management System at Dubai Silicon Oasis and achieved certification for 6 projects through LRQA -
3. LEED Platium Certification-Part of the core team that successfully attained LEED Platinum Certification from USGBC for 3 buildings at DSOA.
4. WETEX SEMINAR 2019- Presented “Dubai Silicon Oasis Sustainable journey by utilizing emerging technologies” in the seminar and received appreciation certificate from H.E. Saeed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer - DEWA
5. MEFMA AWARD 2019-Award winner on “Technology Driven FM- Case study Winner- 1”
6. Employee Excellence Award Winner as an outstandig employee.
7. Energy saving-Energy saving initiaves implimented by me achieved a substantial saving of 19.5 million AED (Saving in MWH- 43, 848.02, CO2 Reduction- 19, 293.24 Metric Ton)
8. Photovoltaic(Solar) System - Implimented on grid photovoltaic system at DSOA to increase the Renewable Energy Share in Energy source portfolio of DSOA. Submited the project on 1 MW carport solar system implimentation (Project is under Management review)
9. Smart LED Street Lighting System- Implimented smart LED street lighting system at DSOA during 2017. The project demonstrated substantail saving in energy and operational cost reduction by 66.5 % and achieved annual saving of AED 316, 000.00
10. LED Retrofit Project- 22, 637 number of LED installed in place of conventional lamps at DSOA as part of the energy saving initiatives.
11. Tier III Certification for Data Center- Task force member to achieve Tier III Cerrtification for DSOA’s Data Center from Uptime Institute (2014)

• Tier III Data Center-Manage and ensure the reliable operation of Electrical& Mechanical systems associated with Tier III Datacenter owned by DSOA. (3X1 MVA Generators, Automatic Transfer Systems, 10X400 KVA UPS and Power Distribution Systems)
• Medium Voltage Systems-11 KV Power distribution systems with VCBs, FCMA starters feeing to the District cooling chiller system. Preventive maintenance and switching operation of MV system.
• High Profile Commercial building at DSOA - Head Quarters, Techno hub, Techno point. etc.
• Smart City (Dubai Digital Park- Taking over in progress)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the Mechanical and Electrical Systems at Tier III Datacenter owned by DSOA, and ensure 99.982% uptime (Tier 3 uptime) . ( Equipments- 3X1 MVA Generators, MDBs, 2500 A Automatic Transfer Systems, 4X400 KVA UPS and Power Distribution Systems, CCUs, NFORM, Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting systems and Leakage detection system)
2. Plan and conducts reliability test on MEP systems at Datacenter (MDB- Generator- ATS- UPS) to ensure its readiness to back up the power during power interruptions (on Quarterly basis).
3. Manage Group of Technical Staff- Supervisors, Senior Technicians
4. Plan and execute preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance on Electrical distribution, emergency/standby power systems, HVAC systems, fire detection/suppression through in house team or through authorized service providers
5. Technical Knowledge of Uptime standards, Environmental Health and Safety, Code and Regulatory Compliance, Emergency Preparation and Response, Change Management, Quality System, Electrical Systems, HVAC Systems, Monitoring and Control Systems
6. Manage daily operations of MEP Systems within DSOA Facilities, and ensure proper functioning of the Services
1. Administrating Electrical operations and maintenance programs for Commercial, Industrial facilities owned by Dubai Port World, Jabel Ali Free zone Authority, Dubai Customs inside Jabel Ali Free zone area.
2. Manage and ensure the reliable operation of electrical systems associated with data center. (Emergency stand by generators, Automatic transfer systems, power distribution units—etc).
3. Maintenance of the Quality Management System applied to the electrical department.
4. Monitoring of the electrical department’s effectiveness to the organization through the use of established performance measurement techniques, including KPI’s.
5. Managing Crisis situation like system failures, executing emergency action, carry out necessary switching operations to control the situation.
6. Ensuring accurate production and control of maintenance programs through Maximo based CMMS System.

1. Operation and maintenance programs of all connected substations of the network, 33/132 & 132/33 kV transformers.132 kV &33kV OH lines, 33kV & 11kV substations and its feeders and associated network, and its distribution etc.
2. Installation, Testing and commissioning of transformers, switch gears, protection systems, RMU’s, motors etc. that are coming up under the transmission, distribution or infrastructure facilities.
3. Witnessing the testing and commissioning of electrical installation by the contractors and its approval after ensuring that these meet all the standards.
4. Organize Mobilize manpower and logistics for the smooth execution of works.
5. Planning, scheduling and executing operation and maintenance including shut down program by raising work orders through CMMMS (Maximo) .
6. Planning and dimensioning of cable systems, giving specifications for cables for all modification/replacement works.
7. Fault locating, its rectification in the entire HV cable network of around 200 kms.
8. Maintenance of two 33/132kV and two 132/33kV transformers and all the associated systems and 132kV cable and 132 kV and 33kV OH line.
9. Testing of all switchgears relays control and alarm circuits of all the equipments both HV & LV in the network during the YPM.
10. Trouble shooting of all the problems in the entire power and control circuitry and its rectification.
11. Proposing improvisation in maintenance schedules, standards etc. and implementing these after getting approval.
12. Recording, Auditing of monthly energy consumption of all consumers and its submission after verification to TAKREER.
13. Maintenance of all building lighting, street lighting gate barrier of police and refinery security gates.
14. Well aware of BS, IEC Specifications.
15. Well aware of International Safety standards, HSE and Safety code of practices
1. Well aware about work permit system and authorized to perform electrical isolation, cold and hot work permit by Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery Fire& security dept.
2. Maintenance of electrical apparatus used in potentially explosive atmospheres (Hazardous area).
3. Participated the refinery shut down activities like M R T A (Major Refinery Turn Around).
4. Predictive and preventive maintenance, breakdown attending, trouble shooting and immediate rectification of HT/LT equipments associated with process plants and substations.
5. Operation and maintenance of 11KV, 3.3KV. 0.440 KV switchgear panels (open bus tie& closed bus tie) with automatic transfer system.
6. Experience in motor control centers with withdrawal and reaccelerating system modules, Vacuum contactor starters, functional testing, and secondary injection tests of motor protection relays.
7. Maintenance of 11/3.3KV (7.5 MVA), 3.3/0.440KV (1450KVA) transformers (make A B B& Mitsubishi) and its auxiliary equipments.
8. Operation and maintenance of Vacuum circuit breakers, Air circuit breakers made by Toshiba, Fuji, Siemens...etc.
9. Preventive maintenance of 50 KVA UPS system.(GUTOR make)
10. Regular checking of battery banks, topping up electrolyte levels preventive maintenance of battery charger.
11. Maintenance and operation of Caterpillar make 500 KVA emergency stand by Diesel generator (Pneumatic& battery start) with automatic transfer system.
12. Maintenance of 11KV, 3.3KV, 0.440KV motors includes periodic greasing of bearings, tightening terminal connections, checking the I R values of windings, solo run test...etc.
13. Preventive and break down maintenance of MOV (motor operated valve) made by Rotork and Limitork.
14. Maintenance of 14 KVA wet gas electrostatic precipitator and involved in replacing damaged discharge electrodes with new ones.
15. Maintenance of 70 KVA, 0.1- 480 HZ variable speed motor drives made by Siemens.
16. Experience in secondary injection testing and calibration of microprocessor-based protection relays like over current, earth fault, differential, directional, restricted earth fault and under voltage relays.
17. Maintained Fire alarm system (make Pyrotronics) with smoke, heat & flame detectors. Fire extinguishing systems with Halon& A F F F systems
