Job responsibilities included,
• Support Project Management department in supervising, overseeing and assuring quality deliverables.
• Resolve site issues and coordinate with the erection company to avoid any procedural violation.
• Attend meetings for Boiler installation with Client and Construction Company and discuss site observations.
• Provide technical support to EPC contractor for construction and commissioning of Boiler.
• Assist with checking of material and equipment supplied for project and responding to client’s queries about them. Moreover, clarify any deviations found and assist the client in follow up to resolve any deficiency.
• Assist the client in following up about any component that are missing / damaged in the packing list. Advise the client to ensure the storage requirements for material and equipment are appropriate. Identify the deviations.
• Provide assistance with the interpretation of any engineering drawings that are provided by AMECFWES for erection.
• Assist the client in following up with any technical issues with supplied AMECFWES engineering documentation and with supplied materials and equipment.

Project Mechanical Engineer in Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction - Power Plant
Doosan is among the major EPC contractors in Middle East, Pakistan and across South Asia. Doosan provided services for the 2800MW at Rabigh Power Plant 2 in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia project included 4 x 700. Sub Critical Oil Fired Steam Generators (Boiler), Steam Turbines and BOP.
Area of responsibilities is 2 x 700 MW Subcritical Oil Fired Steam Generators (Boilers) with the steam capacity of 2350 tons per hour and Maximum Allowable working Pressure of 174 bar.

• Review of Contract documents and supporting contracts administration in the preparation of sub contract documents for technical and commercial concerns.
• Preparation of bill of materials and coordinating with procurement for finalizing the trade subcontractors.
• Review of design calculations and drawings in comparison with contract drawings for both technical and commercial aspects.
• Review of shop drawings and advising the trade subcontractor for ease and suitability of construction.
• Preparation of Methods statements, Inspection & Test plans and Lifting Plans for Boiler Construction includes Steel structure, Steam drum, Boiler Pressure Parts, Boiler Piping (Boiler Internal Piping includes Down-comers, Risers and Supply system and Main Steam Hot Reheat, Cold Reheat and Feed Water Piping), Air Pre Heater, Fans (Forced Draft, Induced Draft and Gas recirculation fan), and Boiler Non Pressure Parts.
• Review the commissioning procedures

Doosan provided services for the 175MWe Combined Cycle Power Plant project included 1no. Frame 9E GE Gas Turbine, 1no. HRSG, 1no. FUJI Electric Steam Turbine and BOP at Fauji Foundation Power Plant Daharki (Sindh) Pakistan.

• Managed the erection and commissioning activities of HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) with Diverter Damper included troubleshooting in commissioning, steam blowing, chemical cleaning, springs supports cold setting, harp assemblies, piping and structure installation, foundation arrangements etc. Also during commissioning LP super heater area support modification to control the LP steam temperature. LP super heater area tube plugging, Hot spot rectification, Control valves repairing and safety valves lapping & Trevi-test
• Managing the Major Inspection of gas turbine GE Frame 9E including First Major Over Haul and CI (Combustion Inspection), of Gas Turbine carrying out due to consecutive failures of combustion chambers and ensuring all inspection forms are duly filled and maintained in records.
• Replacement of GT Atomizing Air Cooler and Air inlet Filters and GT off line washing.
• Managed the erection of 4nos. storage tanks as per code API 650, of capacity ranging up to 12, 847m3.
• Liaised with client, technical field advisors and interfacing subcontractor at the construction and commissioning phases, ensured that all technical interface issues are raised and dealt within a timely manner.
• Coordinated material and resources with subcontractor and assisted subcontractor with drawings interpretations and clarifications.
• Participated in trouble shooting and investigation of failures of turbines during commissioning such as combustion chamber failures in gas turbine, unavailability of vacuum to start steam turbine etc.
• Managed the maintenance activities during commissioning phase of plant for gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG and BOP.
• Monitored work progress through daily site visits, erection procedures, WPS, QC reports and concluded daily reports.

Above all, the Scope of Work involves supervising the entire project from installation to the completion of test runs & later run
