• Executing the activities which include receipt, storage, transfer, blending and delivery of a wide range of hydrocarbon products (e.g. Naphtha, Gasoline, Gas Oil, ATF, Alkylate, LPG, Propylene etc.) & Crude.
• Monitoring & controlling all process parameters of hydrocarbon tanks, pipelines, metering skids, and pumps etc. for the safe & efficient oil movement operation.
• Overseas the operational activities of storage tanks, pumps, multi-product pipelines, pipelines to/from Berth including all associated valves, CTM and equipment.
• Managing continuous, reliable, efficient, economical and safe operation of Tank Farm, Oil movement, products Blending Operation, Ship Loading/Unloading operation & Waste water treatment unit.
• Assesses applications for work to be carried out within the Tank Farm and applies sufficient and adequate precautions to allow work to proceed safely.
• Ensures the compliance of SOPs for starting & stopping major equipment / processes to prevent unnecessary process delays and maintained operational consistency / reliability.
• Guides, directs and provides leadership for all Operations in the Tank Farm & Export Division by delegating directives to shift Operations, for implementing the operations in a safe and efficient manner, to keep the Refinery operating reliably.
• Controls and administers staff engaged in the first line maintenance and preparation of Tank Farm Section for repair or overhaul.
• Monitoring maintenance & inspection (M&I) activity related to Storage Tanks, Hydrocarbon Pipelines, Pumps and Metering Skids etc.
• Controlling the Tank farm in the event of emergency shutdown or any fire detection.
• Coordinating, planning & monitoring daily operations related to tank farm oil movement for receipt, storage and dispatch of Crude & Finished Petroleum Product using OMIS, TIS & related documentation, Blending operation.
• Handling of all types of Crude & Petroleum products (e.g. HSD, Gasoline, ATF, SKO, Naphtha, PX, BZ, Alkylate, LPG, Propane, Propylene, etc.)
• Managed the operational activity over more than 100 no’s of storage tanks and 80 no’s of Crude/Finished product pumps, multi-product pipelines, pipelines to/from Berths, Export lines including all associated valves and equipments.
• Providing work direction to Shift Engineers, Shift Operators & Panel Operators for safe & steady operations of Oil movements and Blending Operation.
• Monitoring maintenance & inspection (M&I) activity related to Storage Tanks, Hydrocarbon Pipelines, Pumps and Metering Skids
• Meticulously handled the planning, scheduling and optimization of operations of modern & conventional machine/equipment to achieve targeted productivity levels
• Driving the efforts across minimizing cost while maintaining the standard quality of products & Ensuring minimum wastage to increase productivity and revenue
• Carrying out all work as per the SOPs, HSE rules/regulations and Conducting safety audits, meetings and adhering to Work Permit System
• Controlling the Tank Farm in the event of emergency shutdown or any fire detection
• Developing Operations Manual, Work Instructions Manual, SOPs, Standard Operating Conditions, Risk Assessments, Emergency Action Plans, etc.
• Looking after the steady & safe operation of unit to facilitate the uninterrupted production.
• Assessed various flows, levels, pressures and temperatures to ensure they were within specified operating limits. Reviewed abnormal readings and took corrective action
• Conducting safety inspections/audits and field auditing for compliance of SOPs, HSE procedure
• Co-ordination & Planning of maintenance job of various equipments to avoid the breakdown
