• Reviewing of shop drawings, material submittals, method of statement, subcontractor’s pre-qualification for various mechanical systems(HVAC, Chilled Water, Water Supply, Drainage, LPG, Firefighting).

• Produce reports on mechanical activities site progress and monitor the contractors for the work progress, carry out work and material inspection, Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and snagging & De-snagging.

• Certifying the mechanical work in Main Contractor’s Monthly Payment and Final Payment.

• Supervise the quality of works, materials and workmanship related to mechanical works and ensure their compliance with contract document (Drawings, Specs, BOQ) and international norms and standards.

•Proficient in UAE statutory regulations for building O&M accordingly with fully understanding of ASHRAE, NFPA, DM & ADM standards.

• Issue site observation notices (SON), non-conformance reports (NCR), site incident notices (SIN) for any non-complying material or executed scope of work ensuring the removal of defective works.

• Attend technical meetings with manufacturers, suppliers to verify their products compliance with project specifications and equipment’s schedule.

• Attend in weekly meetings with the Client and the Contractor and raise recommendations to the client for any mechanical technical aspect matter.

• Identifying the root causes of mechanical system problems during execution and defects liability stage (DLP) and recommending the corrective and preventive actions.

• Reviewing O&M manuals including warranties provided by the mechanical suppliers and ensure their periods are in line with Contract documents.

• Verifying red line and as-build drawings in line with actual site executed works.

• Feasibility, outline, and detailed mechanical design, producing drawings and specifications, schedules, risk assessments, cost and program estimations.

• Working directly with clients and project engineers to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.

• Participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers.

• Assessment of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender returns for technical compliance with design intent specifications along with and installation method statements.

• Review shop drawings against the IFC drawings for compliance with the design intent also the co-ordination mechanical shop drawing with the structural and electrical services.

• Review submissions to authorities or agencies for all project stages.

• Monitor the schedule, ensure that project objectives are met, monitor project controls and engineering execution within the approved budget.

• Attend site progress and technical meetings to discuss any site issues or technical problems with the mechanical services.

• Lead or assist with investigations of mechanical-related issues, including root cause analysis as needed.

• Conduct value-engineering studies of alternative design approaches

• Comply with final project snagging and prepare list of defects.

Undertake inspection of mechanical installation and coordination works including systems design, details, specifications compliance, scheduling and installation; provide reports to my Senior.
Installation of HVAC systems (DX units, Duct works, chilled water piping, refrigerant copper piping), Fire fighting systems (Piping, Fire Hose Cabinets, Breaching inlet & pumps), Plumbing & Drainage systems (Piping & Pumps).
Having the knowledge in installation & Testing and commissioning activities of Mechanical systems - HVAC, Fire fighting, Plumbing & Drainage works.
Preparing NCR’s SIN”s, Engineering Instructions according to the project requirements.
Having knowledge about site health and safety requirement with QA/QC procedure and solving technical/non-technical issues in coordination with other discipline engineers.
Testing and commissioning of AC units, Fire fighting systems and Plumbing & Drainage systems.
Carry out the work inspection and material inspection and ensure that they comply with approved shop drawing, contract specification &authority regulations and ensure the quality standard of works.Issue NCNs, SINs if required and assisting senior engineers in review of shop drawings, material submittals and O & M manuals.
