Highlight: \n• Proficiently working on a live plant covering BOG, Sea Water outfall area, SRU’s, Train 1, 2, 3 and Utilities. \n \nKey Responsibilities: \n• Directing the preparation of safety system manual of the organization and rendering expertise in the development of personal awareness and safe work practices in collaboration with various department heads to promote the goal of “nobody gets hurt”. \n• Evaluating and coordinating comprehensive safety and occupational health policies/procedures, having responsibility of monitoring diverse high risk operations and functions. \n• Implementing a project safety and health management system, conducting risk assessment and recommending corrective actions to ascertain compliance with safety standards and regulations. \n• Organizing proactive safety training of all contractors and workers working in Qatar, Ras Laffan City and Qatar gas to familiarize the employees with the safety procedures. \n• Supervising site inspections, providing on site coaching related to innovative safety programs, knowledge and resources needed to increase safety, reduce risk and improve loss control for assigned projects. \n• Investigating and analyzing all incidents and employing root cause analysis tool to identify causal factors and root causes, and utilizing behavioral safety awareness proactive tools, to guide workers on injury and incident free workplace. \n• Developing a project specific SHE plan that integrate safety in early planning stage and occupational health management programs which identifies, communicates and mitigates health risks to project personnel. \n• Screen potential sub-contractors and suppliers using a qualification process that evaluates their safety, health and security program. \n• Recruiting prospective sub-contractors and suppliers using a qualification process thereby evaluating safety, health and security program, conducting interviews, negotiating and coordinating with them for training. \n• Reporting incidents through incident reporting matrix to ascertain contractor and management are made aware of incidents in a timely manner and accordingly modifying project procedures the company whilst monitoring compliance with industry standards and local regulations. \n \nConcurrently working as Shutdown Safety Officer.i** \n \nKey Responsibilities as Shutdown Safety Officer: \n• Planning and scheduling shutdown activities, providing input and support for the safe conduct of work by personnel during normal maintenance/shutdowns of LNG trains and associated utility equipment and ascertaining that work force are aware of emergency procedures. \n• Managing and controlling all shutdown activities to minimize interruptions and ensured shutdown requirements are in accordance with shutdown EHS Plan and established safety procedures. \n• Performing initial gas testing for a confined space entry, participating in incident investigations and management during accidents and emergencies. \n• Conducting audits and follow up, performing regular work site safety, preparation and posting of postures and conveying presentations/tool box talks in multiple languages. \n• Scheduling preventive maintenance and shutdown activities to ensure equipment/asset reliability and continued production integrity. \n• Ensuring contractors and sub-contractors' safety and ascertaining that all personnel have undertook various safety training including H2S/ BA, PTW, Fire 7 Safety Watches, Security Training, etc. \n• Liaising between various divisions, sections and disciplines, collating project backlog for determining manpower requirements ensuring that all the activities are in accordance with execution of shutdown.
Key Responsibilities : \n• Planned and implemented site safety action plan and performed JSA (Job Safety Analysis) to ensure all safety and quality control standards are adhered to. \n• Conducted task instruction and evaluating supervisor in TI hazard identification in job, weekly safety audits, routine job inspection and submit finding to safety supervisors to identify unsafe working trend for counter measure action. \n• Participated in various contractors coordination meeting, risk assignment meeting, construction meeting, permit to work audit findings meeting, etc. to discuss safety issues to ensure conformance to the safety standards and organizational objectives. \n• Established, implemented and maintained, safety procedures and programs for sub-contractors, health, safety and environment policy in the project, whilst ensuring compliance with HSE standards. \n• Conducted inspection of equipment, whilst ensuring that right tools are being used and that workers wear the required personal protective equipment. \n• Evaluated method statement and job safety analysis programs and for hazardous/high-risk operations to identify, evaluate and control hazards in the workplace and mitigate risk factors. \n• Developed a systematic approach to HSE management, kept daily log of findings, records of inspections, audits, assessments and actions taken to secure safe works and ensured compliance with the law to achieve continuous performance improvement. \n• Undertook training in project requirements for construction activities including permit to work, confined space entry, accident and incident reporting, authorized gas tester etc. to be familiarize regarding HSE procedures, confirming adherence to the same. \n• Monitored timely and accurate processing of all PTW system between the client and subcontractors and daily coordination of PTW system and certificates - road impact notice, isolation, de-energization, box-up certificate, radiography notification, etc through reporting all permit to work related issues to the SHES Manager. \n• Worked as an authorized signatories in all permits right from maintaining database, updating copy of method statements and job safety analysis as PTW attachments to overall clerical control of the permit to work system including retention of the closed out work permits, archiving all PTW documents. \n \n \nPrevious Professional Experiences: \n• Apr '06 - Jun '09: Safety Supervisor, Chiyoda Technip Joint Venture, Doha, Qatar. \n \nKey Project Handled: \n• Qatar Gas - II LNG Onshore Facilities Project - Accountable for all work permits issued during SIMOPS (simultaneous operations) actives during construction, ESU (expansion start -up) and PMC (Pre-Commissioning) phases. \n \n• Oct '05 - Mar '06: Safety Officer, M/s.
