Al Maryah Island is a world-class mixed-use development in the heart of Abu Dhabi city, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Designated as the capital's new Central Business District (CBD), Al Maryah Island will be a major catalyst in the city's drive to achieve Abu Dhabi's urban master plan objective of environmental, economic and social sustainability by 2030. Parsons as PMC abides responsibility for construction of bridges and roads that links Al Maryah Island to other fragments of Abu Dhabi.
Construction of APR 1400 Nuclear reactor in western region of Abu Dhabi which has the capacity of producing 5600 MWe with the aid of four nuclear power reactors with a manpower of 15000 and above involved in the Construction of Reactor Containment Building, Auxiliary of Reactor accessories, Nuclear Turbine Generator, Underground water intake and out flow channels, various nuclear operation buildings & Marine construction activities (Dredging, Breaking & Back filling for Sea water intake and out flow channels).
1. Make safety integral to each operation by promoting worker involvement in the work
planning and hazard identification process;
2. Sustain active and visible involvement using open communication with employees regarding safety items on the project;
3. Review and understand contractual obligations regarding SH&E;
4. Manage the site and interface with third parties in a manner consistent with our contract agreements and the applicable standard of reasonable care;
5. Verify this HSE Plan is current and amended when project activities or conditions change;
6. Verify site personnel and contractor supervision have been issued a current copy of HSE Plan prior to commencing field activities;
7. Verify and document that all work force have completed any required specialty training (e.g., fall protection, confined space entry) and medical surveillance;
8. Assure that the workforce is trained and qualified;
9. Conduct an SH&E orientation and in house trainings for all management prior to entering the project work areas;
10. Verify compliance with the requirements of these HSE Plan
11. Responsibilities projecting as Hazard Communication Coordinator;
12. Development of Emergency Response plans in line with the responsibilities outlined in the HSE Plan;
13. Ensure effectiveness of Emergency operations center with periodical evaluation.
14. Implementation of various programs outlining sustainability first moto of organization.
15. Carry out accident investigation and implementation of control measures depleting any future possibilities of recurrence.
Maintaining the HSE activities as per the OHSAS regulations.
Incident reporting and accomplishing relevant remedial actions.
Inspection of the installation of GI pipes.
Executing the HSE Plan.
Conducting Safety Induction.
Conducting work inspections.
Carry out HSE training and toolbox talk.
Maintaining the Essential HSE documents.
Preparation and inspections for work permits.
Risk Assessment for pressure testing.
Providing essential PPE and ensuring proper use.
Ensuring that all the essential fire fighting equipments are provided.
Was Responsible for all the health and safety aspects in the worksite including conducting risk assessments, safety inspections and HSE statistics preparation.
