Contributed in a retail specialist advisory services for different projects (232 Adnoc Convenience Stores in UAE, 32 CircleK Xpress Stores in UAE, 7 SPAR Supermarkets in Angola) involving strategy, feasibility, business re engineering, HR, Mergers & Acquisitions, transformation, investments, recruitment, and training.
Managing 70 Supermarkets, Xpress stores and coffee shops all over the UAE. Developing the concept for the opening of the first hypermarket for the company . Full P&L responsibility.
Specifically hired to leverage extensive retail management experience to profitably consolidate the retail consulting practice. Senior management authority and responsibility to engage project team colleagues in a matrix management structure providing turnaround strategy & implementation. • Renegotiated & enhanced the group F&B procurement contracts for Robertos Restaurant (DIFC)the No1 Italian Restaurant in UAE, Mercato Restaurant (DIFC) & Urban Bistro Restaurant (Media City). improving an extra 4% on the procurement budget. • Assisted in setting up the procurement & supply chain for Sparkling Sky, Specialized hospitality services providing customized private-label minibar & retail for HORECA category. Improving the margin by 17%.
• Professionally engaged in due diligence and acquisition activities of Al Safeer Group (UAE) a $350M grocery retail / Fashion (21 Hypermarkets & Supermarkets / Fashion/Accessories/Shoes) in UAE.
Appointed to establish a new supermarket chain and to manage a restaurant, cafeteria, Terrace Coffee Shop with a small catering facility to factories and distribution. US$35M turnover, 300 staff and responsibility to the Board for strategy, sustainability and P&L accountability.
• Structured bank financing with a sophisticated sale and buyback arrangement, opening eight stores in the first year representing 60% growth with accompanying recruitment of 300 staff.
• Acquired a modern fleet of refrigerated delivery vans and monitored supply chain effectiveness, reducing costs and enhancing profitability.
• Established a fruit/vegetable packing warehouse and revamped butchery, increasing sales and margins.
• Creatively initiated a professional call center to streamline communications, increasing delivery sales to 25%, and implemented private-label marketing, further improving turnover and profit.
• Championed customer engagement with outreach programs that consolidated brand recognition and established quality infrastructure with equipment imports from Germany and Italy.
Selected and hired to undertake the due diligence and negotiation of an asset purchase agreement of the Geant Hypermarket Franchise, Monoprix and the BHV French Department Store. US$200M turnover, 1000 staff with oversight for strategy, sales, operations, marketing, procurement, accounting, HR, legal, IT, engineering, and security.
• Undertook comprehensive due diligence and analysis to eventually successfully conclude demanding negotiations that were beneficial to Sultan Centre.
• Created trust with one-on-one staff meetings, engaged municipalities to confirm beneficial intentions, and reassured suppliers of payment.
• Rapidly rebranded in a month, executing a transfer overnight & placing US$2.2M of replenishment orders.

The size of the Hypermarket is 12, 000 square meters, and my department was around 3, 000 square meters. The total turnover of the Hypermarket in its 3rd year was above 500 million Dirham (136 million Dollars)
Increased my department turnover from16% participation to 25% of the whole hypermarket, 140 million dirham (38 million dollars). Gained an extra 2% on the gross margin by renegotiating all contracts & reduced the shrinkage by creating a system & procedure booklet.
