• Checking and reporting abnormal smears and results and comment on abnormal results regarding further investigation and diagnosis whenever required.
• Consultation services to any physician of attending and nearby zonal centers including pretesting advice, post testing interpretation of abnormal reports and further testing advice to reach final diagnosis of disease and patient management.
• Training of laboratory staff and well as physicians regarding laboratory tests implementation and interpretation, quality, infection control and safety topics.
• Policy and procedures making, review and implementation
• Implementation of new tests as per standards of accreditation to increase scope as per clinical requirements.
• Supervision and guide lab staff to improve laboratory output and patient care.
• Support in Laboratory quality management activities and internal and external quality assurance programs to establish and maintain international accreditation standards like Accreditation Canada, ISO15189 and CAP.
• Work as a member of steering committee of laboratory medicine, trainings and act as a clinical expert of pathology and laboratory medicine in relevant meetings.
• To take CPD lectures and training courses for laboratory and clinical staff in line with QCHP CPD accreditation system

• Develop fully equipped Clinical Laboratory & implement international standards to meet requirements of SCH, Qatar, CAP/CLSI & JCI (Joint Commission International).
• Supervision of tests, laboratory quality control, lab management, checking abnormal hematology & cytology slides and results, authorization of reports, consultation of patients and physicians for abnormal reports.
• Looking after all quality assurance & management activities of laboratory, training of staff, documentation of data & corrective actions management and to implement new tests.
• To develop and implement infection control policy & criteria in all departments of Center.

• Supervision of tests, quality control, lab management, checking abnormal hematology slides and results, authorization of reports, consultation of patients and physicians for abnormal reports and to implement new tests.
• Departments to look after: hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, cytology and histopathology.
• Grossing of histopathology specimens and gross reporting.
• Independent reporting in hematology, cytology and routine histopathology slides.
• Authorize results in clinical pathology & biochemistry.
• Looking after all quality control of laboratory, training of staff, documentation of data & corrective actions management.

• Full set up, planning and development of laboratory including all instruments set up, and documentation for completing licensing requirements.
• Working in Pathology with main specialty of clinical pathology, hematology and cytology.
• Management and supervision of laboratory testing, laboratory quality control planning & management, checking slides in hematology & cytology, checking & authorization of results, implementation of new tests, training of staff, system implementation and consultation to physicians and patients regarding abnormal reports.
• Quality assurance management according to international standards and fulfilling the requirements of laboratory licensing. Getting certification of ISO 9001:2008 and maintaining the international standards of ISO, CAP and CLSI for laboratory testing and reporting.

• Clinical Pathology: Full laboratory work including supervision in clinical pathology, hematology, biochemistry and serology. Checking & reporting of abnormal slides and abnormal tests. Authorization of all results of clinical pathology, hematology, biochemistry and serology.
• Hematology: Routine as well as special hematology tests reporting including peripheral smear examination, bone marrow aspiration & examination, study of immunophenotyping and coagulation assays.
• Histopathology: Independently finding of lesion in specimen, section taking from affected areas & gross description of specimen and lesion in histopathology reports. Microscopy of histopathology slides with preliminary diagnosis.
• Cytology, PAP Smears and fluids: Independent diagnosis and reporting.
• Laboratory Quality Assurance and Lab Management: Successfully worked as a Laboratory Manager to maintain daily work schedules of staff, supervision of testing, system implementation, training of staff for stranded procedure and presenting laboratory standards to the regulatory authority as a QA Manager. Planning, documentation, getting accreditation for ISO 15189:2007 - NABL & CAP(College of American Pathologists) and maintenance of the same standards. Successful planning and completion of audits. Preparation of monthly report and standard solution for all issues and complains.

• Departments to look after: hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, cytology and histopathology.

• Working independently to review and report all pathology laboratory tests in the posted department. Also to develop new tests and to look after quality control of laboratory.
• Teaching practical and theory classes of pathology subject to 2nd year MBBS students & junior residents.
