Generally assigned in site supervision for all the geotechnical works and special tests
and as a geotechnical engineer in the office for the soil investigation reports.
* Obtaining necessary permits, entry and exit passes required for each projects.
* Prepares as built location of all the works done on site.
* Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports.
* Logging of samples, which includes disturbed, undisturbed, and split spoon samples
(soil and rock), and preparation of Borehole Logs.
* Liaise with client and consultants regarding the full project details and specifications.
* Check the in-situ and laboratory test results are in accordance with BS 1377: 1-9: -
Methods of Test for Civil Engineering Purposes.
* Perform site visits to supervise the drilling procedures and all the site works
according to specifications and standards.
* Calculates the allowable bearing capacity of shallow (isolated/ strip/ mat/ raft)
foundations not exceeding the allowed maximum settlements of soil.
* Determine the allowable working loads for both in tension and compression for pile
foundations recommending different pile diameters and lengths that can be used.
* Discuss with clients the recommended foundation type as well as the ground
improvements for the design and construction of the foundations.
* Check the quantities in BOQ during site hand over and prepare invoices as per the
implemented quantities at the site.
* Ensures all projects are finished on or before the expected deadlines.
* Performing duties of Technical Manager in his absence.

Monitoring and inspecting works of sub - contractors and other third parties.
* Preparing Architectural, Structural, HVAC and MEP drawings.
* Setting out projects in accordance with drawings and specifications.
* Ensuring the quality and quantity of all materials used in the operations and
constructions are strictly observed.
* Providing estimated quantities and cost of materials, equipment and labor.
* Encouraging continuous improvements through measurement and reporting of the
key operational aspects to the project manager.
* Ensuring all assigned works are finished on time.
