Commercial chief for Gold Line Metro, responsible to drive the commercial wellbeing of the Gold Line programme with duties to safeguard the commercial interest of Qatar Government and the expenditure of public money with regard to the programme.
An intermediary for Gold Line programme with the governmental stake holders such as Audit Bureau, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Transportation on programme’s commercial matters.
Drives the decision making behaviour to facilitate the Executive Committees’ decision making process. (Executive Committees is an organisation formed by Qatar Government to oversees the metro programmes)

Overseeing PMC commercial performance for
the project.
Administering contracts and commercial
compliance of PMC and the D&B contractors.
Project commercial reporting to Corporate.
Project commercial approving party.
- A USD 4.4billion underground metro programme, comprises of 13 underground stations over 20km of twin bored tunnels. Gold Line is the longest and the highest value programme of all the current Qatar’s eight (8) metro programmes.
• Overseeing a team of 20 staff, comprising of Project Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Administrator, and Contracts Administrator.
• Support the development of commercial strategies for bids, subcontract and partnering relationship
• Assist in developing risk profiles and provide commercial positions for terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with the Legal department to ensure the terms and conditions submitted in bids are in harmony with the commercial aspect of the bid.
• Supports Project Manager and Negotiation Team with detailed back-up and analysis as well as relevant correspondence, clarification and Proposal Documents.
• Support the development of Project Execution and supply management plan for projects.
• Contributes towards strategic planning initiatives
• Formulating the Contract packaging strategy.
• Managing the contracts flow-down preparation from prime contract to subcontract, with lawyer.
• Provides commercial guidance in the pre-qualification process
• Overseeing the RFP preparation process.
• Overseeing bid evaluation and negotiation process.
• Overseeing award recommendation process.
• Overseeing subcontract administration process, including change management, cost control and etc.
• Overseeing dispute and claim avoidance and management process.
• Overseeing progress claim process.
• Overseeing close-out and final account process.
• Overseeing prime contract change management and cost control process.
