• Collation and compilation of accounting requirements for Investment Banking Products e.g. Cash Securities, Securities Lending & Borrowing, Repos, Loans and Derivatives complying with USGAAP, IFRS and SWISS GAAP.
• Use SME legal entity/product knowledge in combination with Accounting expertise to represent Group Finance in the Front Office Sourcing (FOS) initiative lead by Finance Change.

• Planning and budgetary forecasting for expenses. Tracking of plan numbers to the actual performance along with analysing reasons for variance.
• Other finance and accounting related activities. Current role being very close to the top management involves a lot of ad-hoc reporting as per management needs.
• Executed the responsibility of timely submission of Legal Vehicle reporting requirements on monthly and quarterly basis for corporate and regulatory reporting purposes like FR2314, Country Exposure Reporting etc.
• Balance sheet and Income statement control and analysis. Overall management of financials of the company - entrusted with the responsibility of being updated with the movement in financials on monthly basis (from Operations, IT to Treasury) and explanation of variances.
• Ensuring compliance with all accounting and product policies with reference to Indian GAAP/ US GAAP/ Citigroup Policies/ Product Programs.
• Preparation and submission of management numbers into the Global System “PEARL” on monthly basis for management’s review.
• Reporting product level monthly results to Product and Geographical hierarchies. It involves population of monthly results in the pre-defined templates and assisting review of the same.
• Cost Analysis of all direct and indirect costs, periodic review of direct cost involved in the booking of a loan at the product and geographic location level.
• Preparation of different MIS for presentation to Management on monthly financial performance of the products and interacting with different units for getting more detailed information for the analysis purposes.
• Preparation & analysis of financials as per Swiss GAAP for insurance and re-insurance business.
• Analysis of premium & claims booked for insurance and re-insurance business.
• Executed the responsibility of timely preparation of 10 K and 10 Q and preparing analysis for quarterly earning calls.
• Coordinating Consolidation & Audit of 60 Legal entities and reached to level of closing a quarter within 15 days
• Designing of Audit pack, coaching regions/entities for their preparation, reviewing them & using them for consolidation.
• Reviewing of audit packs before submitted to auditors and coordinating in getting timely completion of audit.
• Supporting other regions in correct accounting and reporting under US GAAP.
• Monthly and Quarterly analysis of Balance Sheet, P&L Account and Cash Flow Statements.
• Front ended discussion with the auditor and the regional controller & the CFO’s for audit closure
• Involved in Finance Integration and due diligence of a new business acquired.
• Ensuring monthly submission of financials into the system by regions and resolution of edit check related issues of regions.
• Visited Guatemala (Latin America) for cleaning up the books of accounts and providing the training on US GAAP and use of Cognos in August 2009 and November 2009.
• Instrumental in designing and implementation of Cognos for automation of audit pack preparation and consolidation system.
• Providing training to regions on FAS - 52.
• Preparation of standard template for functional currency cash flow under FAS - 95.
• Analysis of Inter - Company reconciliations and ensuring that there are no breakages between Inter - Company balances.
• Review of policies of organisation and internal control system and reviewing of the accounts to ensure they are compliant with the provision of the Companies Act and Accounting Standards issued by ICAI.
• Handling of tax audit, internal audit and statutory audits of partnership firms and companies.
