Managing a team of 5 project coordinators and 18 Commercial/ provincial projects in an extremely dynamic environment. I assumed Operations Manager position temporarily managing 35 employees in total including a team of 5 drafters/ detailers, estimators, Structural Engineer and fabrication employees. Responsible for scheduling, budgeting, cost controlling, planning, procurement, RFIs, progress and erection at site. Manage contractors working on different site from negotiation of contract to delivering/logistics and completion of projects including closing reports/ inspection reports and documentations as well as invoicing/ collecting and managing changes in the scope of work. I act as a single point of contact for customers.
Train and coach on Lean Six Sigma concepts to industrial top and mid level management.

Responsible for On time delivery of the project/ Reported to the Director Operations Remanufacturing center for Railcars, Locomotives, diesel shop and Freight cars repair facility. Unionized government operation with 200 employees.
Responsible for fiscal year budget planning ($34 Million) and delivery
Launched new remanufacturing service line from concept to the end/ built processes/ procedure, investment analysis, operational needs and constraints/ issues/ risks etc
Redesigned/ restructured live communication process partnering with Quality, Production, Engineering, Warehousing and Procurement.
Initiated a KPI monitoring system for entire remanufacturing centre utilizing Lean Manufacturing
Worked with the Senior Management to change highly resistant culture to a direction oriented, self driven and self sustain entity.

Leading successful cultural change in a highly unionized working environment. Engage/ empower employees by making them participate in Idea generation exercises.

Transformed a highly resistant culture into change oriented . Designed and delivered “Train the trainer” short awareness training sessions for LSS. Reduced rework up to 47% while increased profit margins from 15.3% to 42.7%. Exploited internal resources utilizing LSS concepts such as 5s, Fishbone diagram, TOC, Poka-yoke, process decomposition, internal customer needs, SIPOC, SOP, A3 Reports etc
