I was the plant manager responsible for the support of weekend shift plant operations, with direct responsibilities for plant equipment, tools, and facilities management.
• Direct, coach and develop a team of seven (7) managers/supervisors.
• Coordinate and manage the efficient operation of four (4) assembly lines, tooling and plant maintenance.
• Develop staffing forecasts in order to successfully achieve production efficiency levels and goals.
• Manage and evaluate plant performance, focusing on safety, quality, cost, delivery, efficiency, and employee relations.
I managed and was responsible for the management of 4 separate manufacturing sites, including P&L, safety, efficiency, quality, employee relations, engineering, delivery, and cost.
• Manage and lead the efforts of 8 functional direct reports (Plant Management, Safety, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, Shipping & Receiving and Customer Service), including coaching and development of the plant leadership teams.
• Monitor plant output and scrap, in order to ensure efficient resource utilization and initiate corrective actions as required.
• Establish new organizational systems and implement key business strategies for continued growth.
• Effectively review, negotiate and resolve customer pricing, quality, service and delivery concerns/disputes.
• Develop and execute annual operating plans for sales forecasts, capital expenditures, departmental budgets and organizational goals.
