I have been working for their Medical Records Automation project with Ministry of Health in Al - Amiri and Al - Adan Hospitals.

Brief about the Project
This project aims at complete removal of manual records and electronically maintaining all medical records of patients. The software used was Nexus. All medical staff and medical records department was connected through a Local Area Network. All medical staff was granted access at various levels and all details of patients were available in the system and can be accessed in accordance with their access levels. Once fully implemented the advantage of EMR is that it saves storage area and time and most importantly all details about the patients is easily available in one click.

My duties included: • Coordination of the project activities with regard to training doctors and nurses, the new Health Information System software (Nexus) being installed.

• Registering and updating the medical records in the system.

• Supervision of Medical Staff in completion of computerized files along with the manual files.

• Coding and indexing of diseases, registration of clinical documents in the system and retrieval of the same.

• Preparation of health statistics, monitoring and evaluating health care records for Management.

• Answering to queries related to the Health Information System.

Purchase and Invoicing Personnel - Pharmacy Division (Nov 2007 - Sep 2008)
• Creating Purchase Orders as required and in accordance with the stock of medicines.
