Project area is 228, 000sqm, construction cost of USD 300 Million, 2
towers 50 floors each plus 2 car park 11 floors each. The project is
partially existing required strengthening works/jacketing to the core
walls and columns. It also involves a huge amount of demolition and
reconstruction work.
Consultant: ADPI and Client is Meraas.
Role :
‐ Reporting to the Technical Manager.
‐ Managing the structural discipline of the project as briefed in
following points:
‐ Studying the I.F.C drawings, raising any needed technical inquiries,
clarification, and preference from a construction point of view /
R.F.I's.
‐ Managing the process of shop drawings preparation (General
Arrangement and Reinforcement drawings).
‐ Review of the shop drawings and revising them when required.
‐ Co‐ordination with the other disciplines/ Architectural and M.E.P.
‐ Design of the temporary structures required over the construction
period: ie: Hoists Foundations and Tie‐Ins connections, tower
cranes foundations and tie‐ins design.
‐ Design of the any required structural element (steel and Concrete).
‐ Managing the drafting team.
‐ Assisting the Planning Team with any required technical support in
case of E.O.T claims or any other presentations.
‐ Assisting the Commercial Team with the technical input regarding
any cost impact due to the client changes or any additional
technical requirements.
‐ Assisting the Construction Team with the required technical
solution/ input for any construction sequence that could have a
structural impact on the main building.
‐ Communicating with the consultant when needed and for

‐ Reviewing the structural calculations done by design consultant,
suppliers, steel contractor, façade contractor and subcontractors
related to structural steel.
‐ Coordination with the commercial manager and reporting steel
tonnage on regular basis, assuring that total steel tonnage is within
the estimated steel tonnage limits or less.
‐ Resolving problems would happen due to coordination,
unavailability of materials or unclearly written specifications.
‐ Supporting QA‐QC team and assuring that steel contractor
standards are in line with the clients’ requirements and the project
specifications.
‐ Miscellaneous tasks for RC shop drawings production for the raft in
the beginning of the project.
