• Administration of medication that is tablets, injections, infusions and transfusion on prescription or according to standard instructions. • Indent and procurement of all the necessary equipments, drugs or cylinder which are required for the units. • Catheterization of bladder using Foley’s catheter • Insertion of Nasogastric tube • Starting intravenous blood transfusion after monitoring of vitals • Promote fluid & electrolyte balance. ‘Assess intake and output’ hourly. • Drainage tube such as T- tube, gastric tube, urinary catheter or wound drains must be constantly monitored. • Extubate the client. • Continued administration of oxygen, positive pressure airway support. • Assisting doctors in diagnostic procedures like ABG analysis ECG • When the client is ventilated monitors the clients response to ventilation, intervenes to maintain oxygenation and ventilation. • Maintain case papers, investigation reports etc. • Maintain vital signs charts, intake output charts and other special charts if necessary. • Takes special care of medico legal case papers and records.
