Project Title: "Production of Allyl Alcohol from Glycerine, Commercial production of
Methyl acetate from methanol and conversion of wood alcohol/methanol and commercial
feasibility" for
Project Title: “Recycled Plastics for Solar Cell Applications” for Consultancy, Canada.
Summary of the Research
The objective of the proposal was to design, synthesis, functionalize and characterize
photosensitive organic and inorganic hybrid p-conjugated polymer based materials for Opto-
Electronics applications such as solar cell, OLED and memory devices. The polymers such as
Polyimides, polybenzoxazines and conducting polymers are synthesized and characterized
Project Title: “Defined polymers as candidates for pavement subgrade soil stabilization”
National Priorities Research Program (NPRP), Qatar National Research Fund, Doha, Qatar.
Summary of the Postdoctoral Research
The main aim and objective of my postdoctoral research work was to improve the subgrade
soil stabilization based on synthetic ionic variants polymer binders. The ionic polymer
variants such as nonionic, anionic and cationic polyacrylamides and amphoteric polymers are
synthesized and characterized. The ionic polymer variant has been synthesized by radical and
ATRP polymerization. The aim was to apply these polymers for subgrade stabilization and
compare the mechanical performance, and morphological properties of polymer variants
Project Title: “Development of organic-inorganic hybrid polymeric materials for specialty
applications
Project Title: “Development of a process for synthesis of 1, 4 Diaminobutane
(Tetramethylenediamine)" for
