a green field project in power division which is of 225MW (3x74.6) Coal based Co-Generation power plant
It was a joint venture between PENNA CEMENTS & Ras Al Kaimaih. An MOU was signedbetween Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP) and GoRAK in February 2007. In accordance with the terms of the MoU, AAL was incorporated to establish a 1.5 Million Ton Per Annum (MTPA) Alumina refinery with a (3*74.6) MW cogeneration power plant at Rachapalle Village, Makavarapalem Mandal, Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh.
I was responsible for
•Carrying out all project management activities assigned throughout the Engineering, Procurement & Construction phases of the project.
•Cable Tray erection and cable laying (HT/LT) in both control room cellar and in field.
•Trouble shooting of problems in HT & LT feeders with best protection to the electrical equipments by relay coordination during commissioning process.
•Complete erection and commissioning of stacker and reclaimer by coordination with contractors and service engineers as a client.
•Construction of Control room buildings.
•Installation of lighting system in power plant and earthing of all electrical equipments as per Indian Electricity rules.
•Unloading of electrical equipments like panels, motors, cables and etc. at site and clearing the GRL’s.
•Making the Purchase Requisitions of all required electrical materials and consumables for erection and commissioning.
I was responsible for Erection, Testing & Commissioning of following equipments.
•HT Switchgear (SIEMENS) 6.6KV boards.
•LT Switchgear and IMCC (L&T) Panels.
•Power Transformers (60/95MVA, 50 MVA, 20/25MVA, 10/12.5 MVA) and its RTCC Panels-Bharat Bijlee Make.
• Transformers (2MVA, 1.6MVA, 1MVA)-Kirloskar Make.
•Battery Chargers with batteries & UPS with batteries.
•HVAC System of VOLTAS Make in control rooms.
•VFD Panels (ABB, SCHNEIDER, VACON).
•PLC Panels (SCHNEIDER).
•Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator Panel.- BHEL Make.
•HV, LV Motors and Actuators.
•Load Break Switch, HT Isolators Panels.
•All sorts of electrical auxiliaries like Heavy duty limit switches, Pull cord, Belt Sway, ZSS, LCS, CJB’s, PJB’s, PDB, LDB and etc.
•DCS Panels (YOKOGAWA-Centum VP).
•Control & Relay Panels in 220 KV Switchyard Control Building along with CT’s, PT’s, SF6 Breakers, Isolators, CVT’s, Wave traps,
