TEACH a class of pupils to develop knowledge, skills, understanding and abilities to the highest level, within a secure and challenging environment.
 UNDERTAKE associated pastoral and administrative duties and general responsibilities as agreed with the Principal
 SET realistic and achievable standards which challenge students to achieve their personal best
 MAINTAIN good order in the classroom and around the school with due regard to the school’s policy on behavior and discipline
 PROVIDE a good role model for pupils, ensure the effective methods of teaching to promote positive language and positive learning
 SAFEGUARD THE HEALTH AND SAFETY of self and others in accordance with the school’s Health and Safety Policy
 TEACH
French across the school elementary, middle and high sections
Duties: It is the duty of the Class Teacher to:
 PLAN
1. Teaching programs on a term and weekly basis in accordance with school policies and schemes of work, and the demands of the curriculum
2. Programs of work and activities for the pupils according to their educational needs
3. Differentiation within the activities so that all children are able to develop their full potential
4. For the progression of pupils within and between activities
5. Educational visits and visitors appropriate to ongoing work
 PREPARE
1. Appropriate teaching materials
2. Activities for pupils matched to their individual needs
3. Induction packs for Foundation children and their parents
 ORGANISE
1. The classroom environment
2. The use and storage of books and other teaching materials within the classroom
3. The learning experiences of all pupils
4. Educational visits
 IMPLEMENT
1. Planned teaching programs using a variety of methods appropriate to the needs of the class
2. Planned programs of work and activities matched to pupils’ educational needs
3. The school’s policy with regard to pastoral support

4. The school’s policy on behavior and discipline, including the use of appropriate praise or sanctions for pupil work and behavior.
 MONITOR AND ASSESS
1. The achievements and progress of individual children with reference to the arrangements in use in the school and the requirements of the law
 SUPPLY THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION
1. Attendance records as per school policy
2. Term and weekly planning records to be shown to the Principal
3. Oral and written reports to parents
4. Records of progress and performance and annotated samples of work for inclusion in each child’s portfolio
5. Oral and written reports to any other agencies entitled to such information
 ATTEND THE FOLLOWING MEETINGS
1. Meetings as required relating to the curriculum, administration and organization
2. Parents’ meetings
3. Meetings concerned with assessment
4. Meetings with parents of pupils at Stage 2 relevant to SEN
5. Staff meetings and training/teacher days
 DEVELOP PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY THROUGH
1. Reflection on own practice and private study
2. Participation in the school’s program for continuing professional development
3. Term reviews and annual Personal Development Review meetings
Relationships: A Class Teacher is required to:
 BE RESPONSIBLE TO
1. the Director of Studies
2. the Principal
 CO-OPERATE WITH
1. the Principal
2. all colleagues, both teaching and non-teaching
3. subject and aspect coordinators
4. Invited advisors offering support for curriculum development
5. inspection teams
 TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR
1. the organization and supervision of work of classroom assistants supporting the class
2. the organization and supervision of work of students assisting the class
3. the organization and supervision of work of voluntary helpers assisting the class.

1. Completing attendance report and calculations at the end of each month.
2. Calculating deductions from payroll.
3. Calculating annual leave balance, misconduct and objectives, and sick leaves.
4. Responsible for maintaining social insurance records and work permits
5. Seeking for new employee required and tests them and interviews them,
organize and prepare c.v for each department as per his required.

French Teacher

1. Contributing to the planning and implementation of appropriate programmers
of activity for the children in collaboration with the Nursery Manager and
room leaders and other staff including students.
2. Keeping records of the children’s development.
3. Assisting in the provision of an attractive and stimulating range of equipment,
activities and displays, indoors and out, relevant to the ages and needs of the
children, which encourage independence, self motivation and eagerness to
learn.
4. Liaising with parents and encourage their involvement in the aims of the
nursery and in all aspects of their children’s care.
5. Assisting in the daily domestic management of the nursery, including ensuring
that the nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times.
6. Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by a senior staff member
