City of Dreams Manila is a casino, hotel, retail and entertainment integrated resort in Manila. Comprising of six hotel towers, including Nobu Hotel, Crown Towers and Hyatt City of Dreams Manila - with a combined total of approximately 950 rooms, including VIP and five-star luxury rooms and high-end boutique rooms, suites and villas, numerous specialty restaurants and bars, gaming facilities, and a multi-level car park.

Responsibilities:
• Directly reports to the Commercial Director, and responsible for an integrated team of Senior Quantity Surveyors and Project Quantity Surveyors under Langdon & Seah Philippines and Leighton Contractors (Philippines), executing change management, and administration of trade contract packages.
• Identified costs that are recoverable from the company’s local partner, SM/Belle Corporation, prepared cost claims worth USD 40 Million, and interfaced with SM/Belle Corporation’s quantity surveyors for the agreement of costs.
• Maintain / review status of open change orders, from budget to final agreement with contractors, and develop courses of action for closure.
• Ad hoc reporting for senior management which include monthly cost forecasting of variations, contra-charges, final accounts, and Additions and Alterations works postopening.
• Assisted in the procurement of FF&E items for the project.
• Handle design changes, variation orders, queries and deviations.

The project comprises two 20, 000m² steel frame construction office towers of approximately 26 occupied storeys located above a linking podium. The crystalline/honeycombed structure of the towers is designed with diaphanous screen to form a dynamic Mashrabiya (Opening and closing in response to the sun's path).

- QS in charge for the commercial management of the Curtain Walling and Mashrabiya contractor (Shenyang Yuanda Aluminium Industry Engineering Co. Ltd), Roofing contractor (Arabian Profile Co. Ltd), and of the Structural Steelwork contractor (William Hare UAE LLC) among others.
- Managed the supply chain and implemented administrative procedures necessary for the smooth running of a construction contract, such as procurement, valuing change, issuing of instructions, valuing construction work for interim payments, assessing and compiling claims, and agreeing final accounts.
- Established and prepared contractual correspondences.
- Negotiated and agreed variation orders with the client’s cost consultants.
- Assisted the Commercial Manager in developing tender, proposal and subcontract orders.

The project comprises two elliptical 8 and 6 storey Hotel towers, one on land and one in a Marina linked by a bridge providing views of a Formula 1 racetrack underneath. Both buildings are covered by a unique architectural Shell Cloak Structure which incorporates specialist lighting effects.
