 Responsible for the collation, handling, analysis and feedback of routine infection control surveillance information together with “alert” organism and outbreak surveillance data.
 Assist in the maintenance of surveillance systems for prompt identification and treatment of patients with known or suspected infections, early identification and control of infection hazards.
 Liaise with staff to improve the quality and validity of data originating from departments and other participating units and identifying problems with surveillance forms, missing data and the interpretation of results.
 Working out what the trends in infections are for nurses and managers to implement by running reports using various databases such as KiCS, PathManager, InfoView and WinPath. I also collate and analyze data using large excel spreadsheets.
 Assist in the development of programmes for the analysis of infection control surveillance data using standardized statistical software.
 Collaborate with the clinical audit department in collecting and disseminating data relating to infection control surveillance.
 Responsible for day to day operation of the Infection Prevention & Control team, coordinating the actions of various departments that need the attention of the Team (Infection Control Nurses).
 Attending various meetings, take and disseminate minutes as well as researching various new policies or systems such as Waste Management, to ensure the department/Trust takes the safest and most cost-effective decision. I am currently working on a new Waste Management strategy for the Trust which would, if trialed and adopted, lead to a more effective infection control/prevention framework.
 Support the Infection Control Link Practitioners (trainers) in delivering regular training and Study Days to ensure the Trust complies with National Guidelines.
 Update and maintain various database (Oracle/ESR) and spreadsheets with details of staff training for CRE (Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae), CDT (Clostridium Dificille Toxin) infections and Hand hygiene, at all times ensuring the Trust complies with national guidelines on training for patient safety, risk management and clinical governance.
 Collating various Audit data such as Commode, Hand Hygiene and IV lines audits and entering on the Business Intelligence Unit database. I monitor the scorecards and escalate to the Head Nurse Practitioner as required to improve patient services.
 Initiate Root Cause Investigation forms for various infections by completing patient demographic details.

 Represent Ubuntu in person, writing and by telephone ensuring that supporters receive excellent customer service.
 Manage all acknowledgement/thank you letters and mailings and assist in the creation of e-blasts to be sent to supporters.
 Audio type for my manager and president of the organization and send out the emails/letters as required.
 Carry out research as required by the Development manager or U.S office especially regarding the any issues with our database.
 Maintain accurate income records on a daily basis (Common Ground, cash inflow doc, income tracker).
 Work with Development Manager to research and identify potential new supporters, grant-making bodies and corporate partners.
 Provide logistical support for volunteers e.g. Marathon fundraisers to ensure that processes run smoothly.
 Entering new contacts/accounts onto the database and updating with new information as required.
 Assist Development Manager to plan and produce high quality presentations, applications and follow up materials.
 Assist in the coordination of international travel for some staff and donors. I also arrange logistics for donor meetings.
 Manage JustGiving, BigGive and Charities Trust accounts - responsible for updating sites and ensuring any donations processed through these sites are recorded in the relevant tracking systems.
 Banking payments, tracking pledge payments and ensuring that outstanding pledges are followed up for payment.
 Assist Finance and Development team to manage Gift Aid protocols and process claims.
 Prepare/update Gala Guest List, maintain gala projections on Common Ground and run reports as required by the Event Manager.
 Order, manage and maintain stock of office supplies to ensure the smooth running and effective administration of the UK office.
 Maintain electronic and paper filing systems, manage courier systems, copying, faxing, mailing, filing, shredding and recycling.

 Setting out examination papers, stationery and giving instructions to students prior to the examinations.
 Ensure that the exam starts and finishes on time, bearing in mind the needs of students with special needs.
 Checking attendance during examinations and recording details of any significant occurrences during the exams.
 Scribing for students with special needs, escorting them outside the venue when necessary, etc.
 Patrolling exam rooms and ensuring compliance with the regulations on the conduct of examinations.
 Collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination as well as returning scripts to Students Records & Exams office.
 Preparation of the examination room for the next examination session, ensuring that all unauthorized items are removed.

 Handling client calls, enquiries, emails and posts and performing administrative functions required by practitioners.
 Carrying out routine premises checks to ensure the office meets H&S standards, updating records and writing reports accordingly.
 Work with the admin team and practitioners to keep client information updated while maintaining confidentiality.
 Providing the necessary logistics for meetings as well as taking minutes of meetings of various teams, preparing and circulating the minutes to staff as appropriate.
 Provide support for the Project by undertaking all internal communication and drafting letters as required.
 Responsible for sorting, filing, responding to correspondence and office stationery/consumables management. My duties also included archiving and arrangement for the collection of archives and recycling.
 Performing simple accounting functions and handling staff and volunteer expenses.
 Work with the admin team and practitioners to organize and participate in One to Ones, Drop Ins and other office events.

 Volunteer at Age Concern Canterbury, UK, where I am the first point of contact for visitors and callers as a front desk receptionist. I also undertake general office administration duties such as filling and documentation of correspondence.
