Cost Management
• Supporting Director, Cost Management in controlling the soft & hard cost of a project. Demonstrate my skills by participating in commercial negotiations to reduce consultant / contractors fee to meet budget.

• Review and analyse the cost plans provided by the Cost Consultants. Possess knowledge of estimating when reviewing cost plans of each design phase and report to Director, Cost Management of the outcome of review / analysis.
In the event of budget overrun, liaise with Development Department to carry out Value Engineering to reduce construction cost.

• During Main Contract Tendering, when receiving the Technical/Commercial Tender Report from Consultants, carry out review and clarify any queries before Post Tender Clarification meetings with the bidders.
In the event of budget overrun, liaise with Development Department to carry out Value Engineering to reduce construction cost.

• Also involved in post contract activities which include;
 Reviewing of monthly Cost Reports,
 Provide support to Projects Department in expenditures of Provisional Sums,
 Review project variations (for both Consultants and Contractors)
 Review & approve Contract Price Adjustments (CPA)
 Review of prolongation cost claims and other commercial claims

• In conjunction with Cost Consultants, provide cost data of projects including comparisons against past awards using standard area definition (GFA & BUA) and inflation factors as and when required by the Director

• Support Director Cost Management in relation to Commercial aspects as and when requested
