Production of documentation to maintain Air Operators Certificates (AOC) for Commercial Air Transport (CAT) \[primarily Oil & Gas\] and Search & Rescue (SAR) operations. Production has included: Flight Operations Manuals, Ground Operations Manuals, Safety Management System (SMS) Manual, HSE Manuals, expositions, policies, circulars, etc.
Specific SME activities have included: Producing new document templates, a style guide and document management policy and guidance; training colleagues on the use of the templates; Developing a new document numbering system; Performing due diligence on a number of aerospace specific Document Management Systems (DMS); Acting as Project Manager for a 6-month trial of a DMS; developing a document periodic review cycle; ensuring documents meet CAA and EASA regulations; reviewing documents with the CAA to ensure documents are quickly approved; coordinating the merger and approval of documents from another AOC; acting as the SME for all UKSAR documentation.
Work scope includes creating content, negotiating and agreeing content with SMEs; designing documentation and templates, project management, planning, organising review cycle, progress reporting, etc.
Civil Aviation Authority Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Categories A & C and including practical experience at Lulsgate Airport, Bristol [1982].
City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering Parts 1 and 2.
