• Planning, configuring, and applying redundancy and load balancing plans for Sodetel’s
upstream and downstream traffic, where a dynamic switching is performed whenever a problem occurs with any international provider
• Planning, configuring, and applying fully redundant and load balancing solutions for corporate customers, starting with HSRP on the internal LAN, followed by an EIGRP, OSPF or iBGP on the local loops, and finally, the traffic follows our redundant plan

• Applying and maintaining BGPs with international and local providers, and corporate customers requesting a redundancy plan that involves a multihoming solution with 2 different ISP’s
• Applying OSPF on networks involving none Cisco equipments, PIX and ASA firewalls; otherwise, depending on the Cisco proprietary EIGRP as a dynamic IGP
• Applying tunneling between POPs that are separated by multiple hops
• Applying static routes with backbone providers where no dynamic protocols are configured; Also applying and redistributing static routes into EIGRP for customers, and between POPs
• Installing monitoring and maintaining Down link Satellite setup using multiple technologies (C band, Inclined Orbit)
• Installing and Applying a console router connected to major backbone routers and switches for a better and more efficient administration of the network specially during outages that might occur
• Applying traffic segregation by separating the web and low priority traffic from the high
priority traffic, in order to priorities sensitive applications over other less important ones using Caching appliances and route maps
• Applying address Natting for residential services in order to lower the consumption of public IP’s and to benefit from the reusable private IPs
• Applying a PBR for multiple WAN purposes, mostly security
• Applying traffic compression and optimization on a saturated link for better use of the resources using RiverBed appliance

• Shaping, prioritizing and fine tuning the traffic using a Packet Shaper (Packeteer and Sandvine)

• Setting up IPv6 BGP Peering with international providers and preparing a whole migration plan for Sodetel’s from IPv4 to IPv6 (RIPE Certified)
• Elected as Member (Sodetel’s Representative) of the MOC (Management and Operations Committee) of the BIX (Beirut Internet Exchange)
• Developing scalable network solutions and recommendations by working with the Infrastructure team (NOC team)
• Working closely as part of a team with other departments to analyze requirements or solve problems, plan and implement future developments
• Supporting and leading implementations of growing network infrastructure
• Maintaining an adequate consistency, predictability and stability of all networking routers, switches and service tools supported by the NOC department, whether with backbone or inter-pop functionality
• Taking in charge all IP address allocation (IPv4 and IPv6) for Sodetel Network with provisioning and forecast (RIPE certified)
