Fleet Management: • Selection of vehicles predetermined by Company vehicle listing & legislations.
• Ordering of new vehicles from pre-approved suppliers, monitoring of delivery progress, and checking orders on delivery, ensure all required processes followed for vehicle when newly delivered.
• Maintenance of Company Fleet Register and reconciliation thereof with Fixed Assets Register.
• Maintenance & reassessment of Fleet contracts (Avis)
• Vehicle contract termination.
• Distribution of license renewals.
• Successful re-direction of traffic fines in terms of the company protocols.
• Tracking and monitoring of fleet usage to look for any obvious favouritism or abuse.
• Monitoring all vehicles for damages, and audit daily inspections.
• Annual evaluation of the value of the entire fleet.
Fleet Maintenance: • Monitor, evaluate and authorize all Fleet vehicles maintenance & repairs.
• Monitor service intervals and advise cost centres of required services.
• Evaluate quotations from vendors and authorize repairs and or maintenance.
• Monitor turn-around time from vendors re services, repairs and damage repairs.
• Monthly "Running Cost" analysis of maintenance expenditure per vehicle.
• Maintain and grow strong relationships with all vehicle suppliers to ensure best service and best pricing at all times.
Fleet Insurance/Management: • Monitoring of all claims reported to "Fleet Accident Management".
• Monitoring of claims handed to Third Party Claim Management Company.
• Special attention to written-off and stolen vehicles where settlement is concerned.
• Maintenance of accident statistics for fleet.
• Payments to vendors - Accident Management and Third Party Claims Management.
• Accident investigations, Route Cause Analyses & and the design & implementation of accident reduction programmes.
Fuel Administration (Wesbank Auto): • Ordering, change of details and cancellation of fuel cards.
• Quarterly averages of fuel usage for all vehicles.
• Monitor monthly fuel reports.
• All exception reports to be investigated and irregularities reported to HOD's.
• Monitor fuel efficiency per vehicle and report irregularities.
• Design & implement fuel consumption strategies.
