• Permit Receiver & Permit Issuer for Maintenance Building Activity

• Plans daily work based on work orders and job instructions received, visits sites to assess major jobs and contacts Operations personnel to clarify fault details to ensure completion of assigned jobs in an efficient manner within time scale.

• Checks, troubleshoots faults on mechanical equipment, inspects equipment to identify faults, determines and reports best method of repair or required or taken action to supervisor.

• Carries out the daily repair work on equipment.

• Re-installs repaired and overhauled equipment on site and undertakes workshop overhaul, equipment bench testing, defective parts replacement, repair and reconditioning of parts, using fixed and portable tools.

• Implements preventative maintenance programs for equipment in accordance with established schedules and instructions from supervisor.

• Observes all safety and loss prevention procedures, and exercises good housekeeping practices, keeping workshop and job sites clean and tidy.

• Performs other duties such as reporting job completion and any problems encountered to supervisor, obtaining tools and spare parts from warehouse,

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reviews work assignments with senior specialist, planner and supervisor at start of work or, when on shift, and collects necessary tools and equipment, discusses material and manpower needs and job obtains any required work permits prior to proceeding to work site.
Directs and participates in the routine maintenance of assigned equipment including stripping down, replacing parts as required, re-assembling equipment and running operating tests to verify satisfactory repair.
Directs crew and carries out the more complex field testing and fault finding of equipment.
Carries out modifications to existing equipment or assists with new installation as assigned, includes installation of all types of rotating equipment and required foundation work, alignment and gear box coupling.
Maintains test and repair equipment in good operating order, includes setting, adjusting and cleaning of tools and routine maintenance of test equipment.
Practicing good housekeeping, observing all fire and safety regulations.
The Employee shall carry out his duties to the highest quality standards, be aware of the Company's Quality Program, and shall be aware of and comply with his department's standard operating procedures and Company policies and procedures in general.
Carries out other similar or related duties such as ensuring the proper maintenance and up keeping of personnel records and files.
The employee shall carry out other duties when requested by his supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

Receive daily work schedule order from MMD supervisor or foreman.
Coordinate with the MMD supervisor, foreman, planner, and other maintenance people regarding the activities to be done.
Inspect defective equipment and determine the nature on the repair and select tools in maintenance needed.
Attend an immediate repair or replacement of parts any troubled machines equipment of parts or maintain proper or suitable operations.
Work out trouble of machines assuring of proper satisfactory repair and or replacements of parts to maintain in good running condition.
In case of machine breakdown, immediately in trouble shooting and repair of defective machines and equipments, overhauls equipment if necessary and check all machinery installation.
During shutdown, perform repairs and conditioning of all operating machines and equipment within the Mill.
Recondition equipment to bring back the machine to operate in good running condition.
Work in accordance with proper operating procedure and safety precautions.
Responsible for keeping his work safe and clean at all times.

Perform other functions that maybe assigned from time to time such as but not limited to tasks related to the job, projects and other improvement activities within the department or in coordination with other departments, functions of positions if undergoing multi-skilling or cross training, and other committee functions in case designated.
