Managing EPC Contractor and Sub-contractors HSE activities and performance to ensure compliance with ADNOC Onshore requirements.

Management of EPC Contractor HSE team (20 members) and coordination of 4 major subcontractors HSE teams (100+) inclusive of interview / selection
Review of HSE Management System, procedures, method statements
Facilitate electronic Permit to Work System implementation (and administration)
Enforcement and participation in risk assessments (TRA)
Implementation of Corporate and Client HSE Assurance Program
Periodical inspections/ Audits (Camp inspections, Site inspections, Rigging, PTW…)
Incidents and medical cases investigation lead and reporting (through HEARTS and Synergi)
Facilitate and participate in Consequences Assessment Committee for any breaches against the Life Saving Rules
Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly HSE reporting (Lagging indicators, HSE Assurance Program…)
Site monitoring and practices improvement (Working at Height, Scaffoldings, Lifting Activities…)
Ensure HSE KPI are reviewed at weekly and monthly Project and Construction Management meetings
Promote positive safety behaviours through the implementation of weekly/monthly HSE incentive scheme
Maintain a daily working relationship with relevant stakeholders on the Project (HSE team, line management, subcontractors as well as the Client
Ensure Project HSE requirements are communicated to all relevant personnel and verify compliance using appropriate means (meetings, inspections, monitoring, site visits and audits)

Responsible for delivering the Group HSSE Plan with specific accountability for improving quality of investigations ensuring that the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) principle is applied for all significant incident investigations and appropriate lessons shared within the business. Responsible for the implementation and management of the Petrofac global Lessons Learned process including external and industry lessons. Responsible for developing and maintaining an effective communications network for Petrofac global HSSEIA professionals including the promotion of HSSE information on the company’s intranet (PetroNet). Responsible for the review of all Major and High Potential (HiPo) incidents and Lost Time Injury (LTI) incidents reported within the company’s incident management system (Synergi). Working with Divisional HSSE Directors to drive improvements in supervision and safety competency management. Act as the focal point for overall Group Safety communications including Safety Alerts, Safety Moments and Good Practice safety communications. Supporting the Integrity Assurance team for specific design/ engineering activities as determined by the Group Head of Asset Integrity. Undertake travels to asset locations and project sites to assess compliance with Group Standards. Facilitating the development, integration and accessibility of Group HSSE Management Framework and Group HSSE Standards and align existing business processes with the framework. Support the development and improvement of the Petrofac Contractor Management process. Facilitate the development and rollout of the Petrofac Golden Rules of Safety e-learning package globally. Supporting the Petrofac Marine Team in investigating marine incidents and improvement of marine HSE across the company. Facilitating the transfer of experience globally amongst safety professional at Petrofac.

Responsible for delivering general HSE advice to support the development and implementation of project safety, quality & environmental plans and programs.
Conducting technical safety studies and reviews to support the maintenance, modifications and capital projects work for London Underground Limited. Contributing to the development of HSE systems, standards, tools and techniques for use throughout the company. Working with a multitude of Principal Contractors and Joint Ventures which include Vinci, Costain, Skanska, Laing O’Rourke, Balfour Beatty, Morgan Sindall, etc., to help deliver a harm-free project. Input to the procurement process, as required, to ensure HSE aspects are appropriate and sufficient. Facilitate the delivery of TfL and Contractors project plans/procedures in accordance with company requirements. Perform and participate in project, contractors and sub-contractors audits. Monitor the performance of contractors on HSE matters including facilitating the contractors’ self-assurance process. Supporting the TfL’s behavioural safety programme. Supporting and facilitating TfL’s HSE communication events and initiatives including contractor engagement forums, taking a lead role for nominated events. Delivering personal coaching to staff throughout the business to improve safety awareness. Conducting regular safety inspections and tours.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Advisor - Maintenance Delivery and CAPEX Projects.
Responsible for providing advice on all health, safety, quality and environmental matters including legislation and best practice. Assisting the HSEQ Manager in the management of capital expenditure projects including infrastructure maintenance and asset integrity management. Ensuring HSEQ Assurance is maintained through verification, inspection and periodic auditing of contractors and Network Rail staff and advising management of any deviations from agreed guidelines. Conducting accident investigations and producing reports, maintaining the Unit's incident reporting data base, analysing safety statistics and information on accident trends as well as providing recommendations. Developing job specific risk assessments for railway maintenance activities as well as Work Package Plans for CAPEX Projects. Producing periodic HSE reports for senior management at Area Business Reviews. Maintaining an excellent relationship with government inspectors and industry associations to improve Safety Management Systems. Developing and monitoring safety inspection programmes for Health and Safety representatives and Senior Managers. Providing regular communication to the Unit's executive team regarding environmental risks and opportunities within the Delivery Unit. Providing training to staff to ensure that they are fully competent regarding health and safety issues.

Achievements: Lead London Euston Maintenance Delivery unit towards ISO 14001 certification (as part of Network Rail, Maintenance HQ initiative). Awarded a 2nd prize-winner award in the IOSH London Metropolitan Branch Student BSc/MSc Research Competition 2011. Introduced a Town Hall style safety forum for over 300 workers which ensured that consistent safety information are delivered to the workforce. Introduced the "share with pride or pain" policy within the Delivery Unit for communicating lessons learnt following incident and best practice shared for safety improvements. Organised staff Health Fairs aimed at promoting healthy life style for the workforce.

Duties include Supervised London Underground Limited (Northern Line) station modernisation project for Clapham North, Balham and Colliers Wood stations leading a workforce of over 280 operatives; value £18 million circa. Consulting the London Underground Limited (LUL) working reference manual (Rule Book) as well as relevant legislation when providing safety advice so that the London Underground Limited procedure (QUENSH) and standard of safety is not compromised. Interpreting method statements and implementing appropriate control measures. Conducting site tool box talks, daily site safety briefings, and site inductions for new operatives.

Responsible for scheduling and planning HSE events and safety programs, producing weekly and periodic HSE reports, organising staff training and team meetings. Act as a scribe during accident/ incident investigations. Promote health and safety communication on site and ensuring that safety messages are communicated to all personnel. Perform onsite orientations and inductions for new operatives. Maintain all vehicle, equipment and machinery inspections database. Provide assistance and support during annual external HSE audits.
