- Responsible for Facility Management contracts over AED 40 million, for houses and industrial facilities, working closely with the end client on various refurbishment projects.
• Ensure that all contractual procedures are implemented and maintained, make amendments to contractual documents as required
• Supervise the tender process from the prequalification stage through to the final bid submission and award of contract
• Ensure the preparation of all contractual documents (letters, endorsements, ...)
• Review contractor Invoices after handover of works
Contract manager - Construction April 2014 - June 2017
- Managing construction projects valued up to AED 120 million, Reporting to the Director of project management department.
• Review and approve contract documents, oversee contractor selection and bid process, handle sites to contractors, supervise construction
• Mark and notify the essential events of the projects, ensure the respect of contractual requirements as regards the limits of supplies, and all the consequences in terms of delays (Extension of Time) and additional works (Variation Order)
• Administer on-going contracts, including monitoring compliance with the contract documents. Investigate problems and recommend corrective action
• Assist the Project Director in contract close-out procedures to ensure that all
terms of contracts have been complied with prior to final payment to contractor
• Providing value-engineering recommendations to achieve budget objectives
• Review, develop and enforce administrative procedures for effective and economical performance within terms and conditions of the contract and policies approved by the Project Manager
• Work with Risk Management Department / Finance to coordinate contractual insurance requirements
