Teach Mathematics to students from Grade 8 - 12, as well as Further Studies Mathematics to students from Grade 10 - 12. I am a Mentor to newly appointed staff members to the school. I am very involved with Outreach Mathematics at underprivileged schools in the area and involve students at my school to learn about the importance of giving.

- As Head of Boarding, I was in charge of 60 senior boys and 60 senior girls from all over the world, ensuring that their needs are adequately met in a safe and secure boarding environment. I appointed Boarding Assistants to assist me with this task.
- As Senior Teacher of Mathematics, I taught Mathematics to Grade 8 - 12 students, and Advanced Programme Mathematics to talented Grade 10 - 12 students.
- I served on the Diversity Committee, Employment Equity Committee and Health and Safety Committee at the school.
- I coached tennis and squash at the school.
- As Head of Outreach, I arranged outreach activities for students at our school with needy organizations in the surrounding areas, teaching them the importance of looking beyond oneself to the needs of others.
- Housemaster of a termly boarding boys house at the school.
- Head of the Mathematics Department, managing the demands and needs of the department, liaising with parents on the state of mathematics teaching at the school. I interpreted the guidelines of the Independent Examination Board (IEB) to ensure that the teaching staff knew what was required of them.
- I was Director of Tennis in the school, as well as Squash Coach.
- I served on the Employment Equity and Diversity Committees at the school.
- Became the Head of Mathematics and Head of Physical Science at the school.
- Became the Examiner of one of the National Mathematics Papers in the exit examination in South Africa.
- I was acting Deputy Principal for a year and joint acting Principal for a period of six months.

- I performed Dorm Parent duties in a boarding house with 100 boys and 100 girls.
- I taught Mathematics after hours to enthusiastic students from a neighbouring underprivileged school.
I completed a Certificate course in Mathematical Modelling of Derivatives through distance learning via UNISA. I enjoyed the Mathematics of Finance and Modelling component of the Further Studies Mathematics programme and wanted to ensure that I know more than what is required in the course.
Achieved the B.Sc(Honours) degree in one year, completing all six courses (Topology; Measurement and Integration Theory; Logic and Set Theory; Number Theory; Modern Algebra; Advanced Abstract Algebra)
Completed the B.Sc(Ed) degree with distinction in Mathematics. Majored in Education and Mathematics, with minors in Chemistry and Physics. Received the Old Mutual Gold Award Certificate for excellent achievement in Mathematics in 1989.
