Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring of the progress of works. Analyze drawings and other documentation and prepare cost estimates which relates to labor, materials and equipment. Confer with client, engineers, project consultants, contractors and sub-contractors to discuss and formulate estimates and follow-up on changes and adjustments to those cost estimates. Prepare cost estimates for use by management for the purposes such as planning, budgeting and scheduling. Provide guidance and support to other estimators within the Project Control Team. On-site QS / Contract Administration duties as part of construction management activities including measurement and assessment of all variation proposal submissions. Checking of Interim Claims for Payment and recommending values for certification. Assist in resolution of contractual matters and dealing with disputes and claims. Specific assistance to the Senior Contracts Manager and also provide direct liaison with the Client’s Project Team. Assist to identify risks to the project and implementation of a strategy for recovery. Assist with the preparation of both weekly and monthly contract reports. Management of other quantity surveyors to comply with the urgency of works in the implementation of the project.

Ensure that all contractor claims on work accomplished are properly acted to solve the problem. Endorses time extension if the project has been delayed due to some valid reasons. Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Report to the client. Certify the correctness of Contractor's Partial Billings of Work Accomplished. Justify and recommend necessary Change Orders for the completion of the project. Check, review and recommend As Built Drawings and Quantities and Final Cost / Payment of the Project done by the contractor. Submit Final Construction Report of the project to the client.

Prepares Monthly Accomplishment Report. Check schedule of works submitted by the contractor. Prepares Change Orders necessary for the completion of the project. Check As-Built Drawings and Quantities for the Final Cost of the project.Ensures that all roadway survey works are done in accordance with plans. Redesigned roadway centerline and grade in the most simplest and economical way. Lay-out invert elevations for RCPC's, RCBC's and most particularly in Bridge Structures. Perform daily inspection to the construction so that the proper grade and lines as set-up and approved by the Survey Engineer are followed. Ensures that all concrete pouring, concrete mixes are properly placed, compacted and properly finished in the completed forms and scaffolding.Checks that only materials approved by the Materials Engineer are used in the construction.
