• Provide support to assess risks and review tasks of key operational activities in order to identify and prevent probable HSE hazards leading to significant losses.
• Developing Site HSE documents such as HSE plan, Emergency preparedness plan,
• Assist in the implementation of the Plant’s HSE management system, including emergency preparedness and management, to ensure conformity to ADAC standards and compliance with HSE legal requirements and contractual obligations.
• Conduct site HSE tours on a day to day basis, monitoring the site HSE performance and compliance to ensure adherence to the HSE policies and procedures.
• Develop daily / monthly HSE reports, highlighting any incidents, concerns and issues at the Site to ensure timely escalation and resolution of problems at the site.
• Support the implementation of the work permit system, ensuring proper measures are taken prior to commencement of work such as equipment or plant isolation LOTO, shutdowns, commissioning etc., to ensure all work areas are safe for required work.
• Develop and maintain computer based safety and equipment records, ensuring all safety statistics are documented and maintained at the site office.
• Assist to the delivery of HSE training to ensure that all employees and sub-contractor staff are aware of the HSE standards
• The implementation of HSE campaigns on the site to ensure proper Culture is disseminated to all employees and contract staff.
• Maintain positive working relationships with regulators and emergency services, contractors and local authorities to ensure mutual support and adherence to HSE compliance requirements.
• Assist in the development of emergency drill scenarios and conduct site emergency mock drills, in order to check readiness for emergencies.
• Report and respond on an immediate basis to HSE incidents using the established emergency communication channels and protocols, to minimize damages as much as possible.
Participate in the investigations for reportable HSE incidents, to contribute to the identification of root causes and provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor inventory and stock of PPE, raise and follow up the necessary purchase requests, to ensure the timely availability of the required goods.
