• Beside present position as faculty at National Defence College, I worked as Senior Instructor (Equivalent to Professor) in the Department of Civil Engineering at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka, Bangladesh from September 2011 to October 2012. \n \n• Worked as Project Director of all Govt. revenue projects and Director of The Centre of Advisory and Testing Services (CATS) of MIST to render consultancy and testing service to all. \n \n• Enterprising management executive offering an eventful career of over 02 decades of donning leadership roles in managing and executing wide range of construction / structural projects like Bridges/ Culverts, Water & Sanitation, Infrastructure, Roads and Airfields and UN projects within Army. \n \n• Served as Staff Officer Grade 1- (Planning and Administration) from 10 March 2011 to 4 September 2011 as Lieutenant Colonel at Directorate of Works and Chief Engineer (Army) in Army Headquarters and looked after planning, design and budget of the works and maintenance program. \n \n• Served as Staff Officer Grade 1- (Works) from 14 April 2009 to March 2011 at Directorate of Works and Chief Engineer (Army) in Bangladesh Army Headquarters and looked after the contract administration and procurement of all Military Installations starting from the inception to the project completion and commissioning. \n \n• Served in the Corps of Engineers for last 26 Years and thereafter executed multi-faceted projects, national post disaster management in Military including two years overseas employment in the UN system. \n \n• A senior level Military procurement professional worked at the Army Headquarters to implement large projects at all garrisons of the country worth $15 Million US during 2009-2010 FY and of about $ 18 million US in FY 2010-2011. \n \n• Qualified Civil Engineer backed by a strong academic background, having sound knowledge of MS-Office, MS-Project, Primavera, Etabs, AutoCAD and SAFE; well versed with Standards and Building Codes & Specifications - UBC, ASSHTO, ACI, ASTM, BNBC etc. \n \n• Displayed credentials in planning and supervising the entire project right from preparing the road map, scoping, planning, designing, scheduling and monitoring to ensure project accomplishment within defined time/cost parameters in United Nations Mission in Liberia in 2008 with UNDP and RRR. \n \n• Supervised works of Army, inspected works of Military Engineering Services (Army), prepared and examined works program, estimation, specifications, bill of quantities etc. \n \n• Watched progress of works and advised the Garrison Engineers in case of any held ups and coordinated their activities. \n \n• Checked monthly progress of works at site and put up inspection report of various formations showing difficulties, if any and recommendation thereof. Maintained liaison with consultants, suppliers and contractors for successful on time project delivery and implementation. \n \n• Maintained liaison with Ministry of Defense, AHQ, Quarter Master General’s Branch (M&Q Dte), AHQ E in C’s Br and other related organizations for MES (Army) for works and maintenance services. \n \n• Advised Chief Engineer (Army) on matters related to planning, budgeting, designing and human resource activities all over the country in the organization (Military Engineer Services). \n \n• Served in an Engineer Battalion from 2005 to 2007 as Commanding Officer. Responsibilities included undertaking all military and field engineering tasks for the division. Commanded a total of 1023 personnel including 26 officers and other ranks. \n \n• Worked in the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET) as a Contingent member of the Engineer Battalion. \n \n• Worked for 1 year in 1999-2000 as Staff Officer Grade 2 (Design) in the Works Directorate, Engineer in Chief's Branch, Army Headquarters, Bangladesh.
