Handling and leading the Talent Acquisition function and assisting in the Learning and Development
•Coordinating with the IRC Child Protection Coordinator, Child Protection Case Management and Partnerships Advisor, Deputy Capacity Building Manager, and HR team to understand UPEL’s recruitment needs
•Coordinating with the UPEL Acting Director (or UPEL Project Coordinator once hired) as needed to support recruitment and other HR activities
•Posting UPEL job descriptions online and actively share on other relevant recruitment forums to ensure wide exposure to relevant and qualified candidates
•Screening candidates and develop a short list to be reviewed by the relevant UPEL and IRC staff for interviews
•Supporting in the scheduling of interviews, ensuring that representatives of UPEL and the IRC are able to attend
•Coordinating with the relevant IRC and UPEL staff to follow-up on interviews and finalize candidates
•Working with the UPEL Acting Director to ensure that offers are extended to selected candidates
•Providing support as needed to UPEL to ensure that contracts are in place for newly recruited staff
•Coordinating and collaborating with the UPEL Acting Director and the IRC team as needed to ensure that newly recruited UPEL staff are oriented once hired
- Support the recruitment cycle (post vacancies,
arrange interviews, etc.)
- Check references for employee chosen for the
required position
- Sourcing and short listing of CVs
- Send rejection letters for unsuccessful applicants
- Implement and enforce IRCs Global HR Operating
Policies and Procedures; and ensure
compliance with all labor laws.
- Participate in review and delivery of HR/recruitment
policies and procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive
HR/recruitment information at all times.
- Deepen and widen the talent pools that IRC has
access to and support all level of recruitment as
requested.

- Recruiting for entry, junior and managerial positions

- Initiating job descriptions for the positions to be filled
