Responsibilities
Able to read and understand piping & instrumentation diagrams (P & ID's).
Raising punch list of all plant equipment and instrument for commissioning as per P&ID.
Pre-comissioning and commissioning activities such as card board blasting, solo run test, hydrotesting, inerting, pipeline pressuring for leak test etc.
Start up and shutdown of plant equipment such as: Pumps( Centrifugal & Reciprocating) Compressors( Propane refrigerant screw compressor, CNG compressor, Instrument Air Compressor, Residue Gas Compressor)Turbo expander( Atlas Copco using PLC)Hot Oil Heaters(Tulsa using PLC), Fin-Fan Coolers, Blowers etc including emergency shutdowns.
Condition monitoring of process equipment and vessels such as Seperators, Slug Catcher, Chiller, Columns, Reboilers, Molecular Sieve Dryers, Gas filters, Accumulator, etc.
Following standard safety practice for proper isolation (LOTO, JSA, PTW, SIMOP etc) during plant equipment maintenance such as pump suction strainer cleaning, filter element cleaning, oil seal pot refilling etc, ensuring zero energy demonstration.
Proper change over of pumps, compressors and dehydration dust filters etc.
Lining up / Monitoring of Gas Pressure Reducing Station “GPRS” as source of fuel for Gas Generator(CAT Engine), Heaters and Residue Gas Compressor.
Lunching and receiving of Pig during Pigging Operations.
Maintain a professional working relationship with the panel operator inclusive of effective/clear communication on a continuous basis every shift.
Perform operator rounds on each shift (read, monitor, and record various operating conditions such as pressure, temperature, level, flow, hours of operations etc).
Visually inspect equipment and controls every shift to detect malfunctions and/or need for maintenance, adjustment, lubrication, etc.
Periodic valves stroke check, resetting vibration switch of fin-fan coolers in lease with the DCS operator and instrument team.
Operate manual valves or other process equipment as directed by the panel operator or procedure.
Perform lockout/tagout of valves and equipment, involved with energy isolation, job walkdowns, writing various work permits, etc.
DCS operator at the LPG loading gantry/bullet storage: ensuring safely loading of trucks with the loading team.
Transfer of NGL to storage or to the Flow Station and LPG to bullet storage.
Other duties as assigned by the DCS operator and/or plant shift in charge.
Routine process equipment monitoring, process control, process variables readings, log books
entry, and reporting to supervisor.
Start up and shut down of process equipment(s) such as: Compressors, Pumps, Expanders (Cold
Box), Burners, Boiler Systems, Steam Turbines, and many other rotary and non-rotary equipment
as per standard operating procedures (SOP).
Change over equipment(s) and preparing process equipment(s) for maintenance (Isolation,
flushing, inerting of equipment as required) ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
Condition monitoring of process equipment(s) and vessels in various sections (visual checks,
leak checks, set up / reset up, change over)
Sign work permits, follow up on-going jobs and monitor contractor activities ensuring adherence
to safety regulations and procedures.
Perform samplings at various points for laboratory analysis.
Efficient operation of distillation columns, absorption column using activated Methyl Di-Ethanol
Amine (aMDEA) as solvent for absorbing CO2 gas, adsorption unit operations using Zeolite in
molecular sieves for drying of synthesis gas and stripping operations
Chemical injection in chemical system/units:CO2 absorption unit ( antifoam), boiler system
operations.
Ensures proper housekeeping in plant and other areas.
