An S$700M EPC contract involves the expansion of the terminal, includes a fourth LNG storage tank, it well be the largest in the world in terms of capacity. Other key facilities to be added include a new terminal substation, open rack vaporizers (ORV), submerge combustion vaporizer (SCV), LNG booster pump, seawater intake anchor, pipe rack, cable rack, pipe bridge and other equipments. Job scope and responsibilities includes the following:
➢ Implement and maintain company’s quality system management, audit and surveillance of work execution for quality compliance. Interface with construction to oversee appropriate execution per work method statement and to enforce quality inspection as per approved ITP.
➢ Inspection and control for civil and structural works as per plan, drawing, codes and specification.
➢ Witness and monitors concrete pouring, sampling activities on site and laboratory testing on taken concrete cube samples.
➢ Coordinate inspections activities with RTO/RE such as coordinate & level, compaction test, formwork / rebar inspections and concrete pouring activities.
➢ Review and approved inspection test plans, method statements and other standard operational procedure in accordance with the project and international specifications and standards.
➢ Control all outgoing and incoming documents including filling records and insuring that all controlled documents are in line with project’s requirements.
➢ Review and approved of system test packs for the handing over and turnover of works for the project completion and monitoring & closing of punch items generated.
An S$454.42M LTA project, design and construction of Bright Hill (Sin Ming) station and construction of its associated tunnels for Thomson Line. Job scope and responsibilities includes the following:
➢ Conduct and witness concrete trial mix and testing of hardened concrete cube samples, rebar sampling and testing in all required sizes, ensuring that M&W Specifications are met and compiling all test reports for material approval submissions.
➢ Witness and monitors concrete pouring, sampling activities on site and laboratory testing on taken concrete cube samples.
➢ Co-ordinate inspections activities with QPS such as coordinates & level, compaction test, formworks / rebar inspections and concrete pouring activities.
➢ Control all outgoing and incoming documents including filling records and insuring that all controlled documents are in line in ISO requirements.
An international school project in Singapore with complete modern facilities, to design and build a four blocks of school buildings for phase I and three blocks for phase II amounting to S$180M and S$90M respectively. Job scope and responsibilities includes the following:
• Phase II Project
➢ Works with Construction Manager to ensure EH&S audits are carried out on subcontractors in line with the company’s Global Minimum Requirements.
➢ Prepares short-range programme using logic, milestones and durations obtained from the medium range programme (MRP), subcontractor’s short-range programme (SRP) and information received from work teams.
➢ Over all in-charge in the execution and delivery of all trades, including sub and super structure, M&E, Swimming Pool and Earth Retaining Stabilizing Structure (ERSS) to my respective assigned block.
➢ Arrangements of the daily site activities in coordination with the site managers as per their respective disciplines and trades.
➢ Reviewing subcontractors ITP, Risk Assessments and Safe Works Method Statements for all trades.
➢ Inspection and supervision of excavation and rebar cage for CBP, Secant Piles, Bored Piles, rebar & formworks/false works of PT Beams and slabs, Structural, Steel Structure, Fireproofing, Waterproofing, Dry & Wet Architecture, Joinery, M&E, HVAC, Drainage & Sewer System, Roads & Driveways and of all type of concrete casting works.
➢ Inspection arrangements with the RTO and Resident Engineers together with the sub-contractors prior to construction works.
➢ Assisting the Site Managers in corrective action in the non-conformities of the works.
• Phase I Project
➢ Compile defect list and follow up rectification works, completion and handover of all structures in accordance to the standards of the main contractor and client.
➢ Handles the architectural trades such as wet and dry architecture finishes.
An $357.5M project under LTA, an extension of the North South Line from Marina Bay to Marina South Pier MRT station. Job scope and responsibilities includes the following:
➢ Ensure conformity of construction activities to standard specification and AFC drawings.
➢ Supervises work on site and ensuring all works are performed in accordance to project’s specifications.
➢ Supervises and monitors excavation, rebar cage fabrication & installation and concrete pouring activities in Diaphragm Wall and Bored Piling activity, Excavation and (ERSS) Temporary Strutting works, and also, Water Proofing, rebar & formwork for station and tunnel top & bottom slabs, capping beams and other main structures.
➢ Co-ordinate inspections for construction activities with third parties & client’s RTO and RE.
➢ Witnessing & monitoring of on-site testing for cast in bored, DSM coring, MPI & Pre-loading test for strutting works.
An ExxonMobil project. Extension of the Singapore Parallel Train II (SPT-II). Job scope and responsibilities includes the following:
➢ Prepare QA/QC inspection activities as per approved ITP.
➢ Ensure conformity of construction activities to standard specification and AFC drawings.
➢ Conducts quality control monitoring by inspection, sampling and testing on delivered materials & insure it meets stated standards & specifications.
➢ Monitors concrete pouring activities by sampling and testing at plant for the following site projects: Substations, Seawater Intake Structure, Tank & Equipment Foundations, Pipe Racks & Sleepers, Concrete Paving, Storm Water Drain and underground works such Oily Water Manhole, Sump & Valve Box.
➢ Conducts compaction testing by Nuclear Density Gauge (Troxler) for backfilling & road works.
➢ Witnessing & monitoring of on-site testing for cast in bored/driven piles & specialist test for piled foundations, thermocouple of mass concrete, flood test in water proofing & water leak test for ductile iron pipes, manholes & water retaining structures such as tanks & sump pits.
➢ Co-ordinate inspections activities with third parties, QP’s & client QC inspectors such as compaction test, formworks / rebar inspections, grouting, structure final inspection, pre-handing over inspection & identifying punch items.
➢ Control all outgoing and incoming documents including filling records and insuring that all controlled documents are in line in ISO requirements.
➢ Prepare proposal & arrange inspection for closing QOR & NCR.
➢ Monitoring punch list items to the completion and handover of the structure in accordance to the standards of the main contractor and client.
➢ Creating system test packs for the handing over and turnover of works for the project completion.
