Job Description

- To monitor operations parameters (pressure temperature volume) on the DCS panel ensuring compliance with operating set points of various unit
- To assist the Operations Supervisor in the overall coordination of all the operational activities together with the Control Room and Field Operations Specialists.
- To monitor at all times gas supplying and production volumes and conditions.
- To interact with gas supplier (Shell) and product storage (FSO-BOT).
- To coordinate regular operations, Start-ups and shut downs (emergency, programmed), together with Control Room and Field Operations Specialists.
- To assist the Plant Supervisor on decision making regarding start-up or shut-down of specific equipment when required.
- To make important inputs of the most important parameters, plant conditions and events in the Control Room log-book.
- During shift changes, supply all the necessary information to the next team to maintain or improve the plant performance.
- Report to the maintenance team any abnormality observed in the plant.
- Liaise with maintenance team regarding predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Before starting maintenance works, supervise conditioning of the systems to prevent any accidents or spills. During the work, keep track of the same, and after the work, assure that conditions are acceptable to re-start normal operations.
- Issuance of Permits To Work (PTW), when requested by the Operations Supervisor.
- Supervise and take part of the plant house keeping, maintaining the plant in the best possible conditions of Safety, Order and Cleaning.
- Identify, report and if possible, correct unsafe conditions
- To assist the Operations Supervisor in ensuring good working relationships in the team.
- Monitoring of production processes in the flow station.
- Logging in of production parameters such as flow meters, temperature, crude metering system.
- Controlling crude level in surge tank, HP, LP separators and test separators.
- Start up and shut down of crude oil pumps during program start up/shut down and emergency shutdown.
- Starting up and shutdown of all mechanical equipment such as gas turbine, gas engines and flare knock out drum pumps.
- Insulation of valves and ensuring that the area is safe for maintenance work.
- Insulation of crude line through well head manifold as operations demand and opening of the line during start up.
- Testing of well through test separator and logging in the values correctly.
- Complying with all HSE standard in the company
- Identify, report and if possible, correct unsafe conditions
- Top up oil and cooling systems and monitor on-line chemical injection systems where applicable.
- House keeping. Maintain areas in the best possible conditions of Safety, Order and Cleaning.
