I put together a magazine in one month and a half, that should have taken three months. I worked on my own and collected professional photographs and saved the company thousands.
I covered many roles with efficiency. I covered order fulfillment, which meant I took customer orders, packed and shipped each one; I took phone orders with great service attitude; I dealt with customer complaints and issues; Processed purchase orders and dealt with orders coming in from major companies, such as Amazon.
My work involved plenty of time working alone, multi-tasking and great attention to detail, as the smallest mistake would have meant unnecessary expenses for my employers. There was a lot of customer interaction, which meant I always dealt with all customers in a friendly and appropriate manner at all time, regardless of query.
From the 8th-18th of november 2006 I helped out with the Caridff Film Festival at Cineworld Cinema. This would involve handing out tickets, ushering and a variety of customer services.
It was a job that required one to social and friendly and ready to move at any time to do their job. It was exciting and enabled one to meet a variety of people in the film field.
This job required me to prepare fresh food, before opening and upon request of customers. I also prepared hot and cold drinks (coffee, tea etc..) and operated the till. At times I served customers at their tables and cleaned the kitchen and equipment. Sometimes I in charge of purchasing supplies for the cafe. The was a continous need for customer service skills. The customers always right.
This job required me to be cheery and social. Constantly friendly to all customers. Ready to chat with them when they saw fit. It was interesting a enjoayable because of the variety of faces we saw everyday.
Worked with a number of teenagers to introduce a variety of different forms of art (fashion, video games, filmmaking, painting) to young teenagers in a fun and educational manner.
We were required to advertise, design and in some cases purchase catering. On the nights of the events, we set up, ushered, made sure all the guests and speakers were satisfied and later were in charge of clean up.
It gave us all sense of responsibiltiy and teamwork. Thus proving I can successfully lead and work with a team.
Was involved in retail, customer services, stock ordering and taking, till operation. For a period of time fresh sandwiches were served, so I was required to prepare food too.
This was a two week placement assigned to me by my high school. I was required to assist the teacher with the a variety of children. All ranging in different levels. Duties included reading assessment, help with classwork. Patrolling in the playground at break and lunch times. Helping with assembly. Discipling at the right moments etc... It was exciting and tested my patience and capability of handling children. Which according to my peers at the time I managed to achieve easily.
Its a 2nd BA honors degree. We made several films while studying gaining valuable practical experience. It can be seen as a "Good" ranking. Currently learning Japanese language (personal not institutional).
I took a TEFL course online at an accredited institution i-to-i. I took the 100 hour course which covered many areas important to teaching English under various situations. Through this course I have achieved additional certificates in; - Teaching Business English - Teaching English with limited resources - Teaching large classes - Teaching English to young learners
