EPC of Residential, ADCO, Habshan

Managed all aspects for the EPC project including safety, quality, design, specialized contractors, planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost management from basic design to handover.

Working as a consultant with Command Military works my main areas of responsibilities consisted of prequalification of contractors, preparation of tender documents, preparation of new contractual agreements, reviewing the contractors new and existing contractual arrangements, monitoring/reporting on the contractors performance, control of the change management program, liaising daily with the client and the submittal of weekly and monthly reports to the client.

• Managed all aspects for the site work force of approximately 350 direct employees including all management and coordination of specialized sub contactors, design, program, quality, safety, logistics, and cost management.

• In addition I returned the project from 40% behind program to complete on time in a 3 months period.

• Consisted of high specification design and build villa with ancillary buildings (approximate buildings floor area of 5000m2) on 100, 000m2 landscaped plot.

• Managed all aspects of the construction works for a site workforce of approximately 400 workers including supervision of management team, sub contractor co-ordination, project closure, safety, quality and program management.

• Immediately addressed and improved safety issues embedded in the project.

• Improved site work force efficiency outputs.

January 2007 to October 2008 - Senior Engineer/Assistant Project Manager RC Frame Package - Project: Central Park Development - Package Value AUD 15 million, Project Value AUS 150 million

• Project consisted of 9 number reinforced concrete frame blocks ranging from 9 -17 stories
• Responsible for co-ordination and development of 3 section engineers, 6 site engineers, information management, reinforcement management, quality management, records management, sub-contractor management, intermediate claim management alongside dealing with client to resolve technical issues.

• Implemented a standardised site engineering system across the project.

• Involved in bringing the program from two months behind schedule to complete one month ahead of schedule in 4 month period.

March 2005 to November 2006 - Senior Engineer/Assistant Project Manager RC Frame Package - Project: Whitestown Way Development - Package Value AUD 12 Million, Project Value: AUD 120 million

• Project consisted of 9 reinforced concrete frame buildings (approximate footprint of 100, 000m2).
• Duties included supervision and coordination of 8 no. Site Engineers, control and review of all information relating to the structure, scheduling and logistic planning for all reinforcing and pre-cast stairs, monitoring of sub contracted labour, quality control (including Post Tensioned Slabs), day-works evaluation, snagging of works and liaising with Main Contractor to resolve technical issues.
• Introduced training and mentoring scheme for the site engineers.

• My main duties included attendance of pre-tender site visits/analysis, preparation of tenders, cost control of contracts including preparation of claims and interim accounts, organisation and logistics management for all labour, plant and material requirements, quality control for all works carried out, preparation and submission of final accounts. Other duties included cost analysis for buy/hire decisions and possible investments, preparation and control of waste management activities and preparation of insurance claims.

• Consisted of construction of a 4-storey hospital and renovations to a large retail store.
• Main duties involved site setting out, organisation and coordination of both main contractors and sub contractors personnel on-site, cost control for elements of the projects, quality control, logistic planning for the projects and implementation and control of onsite waste management process.

• Finishing carpenter foreman undertaking internal fit out and roofing works.
• Shuttering carpenter undertaking formwork formation and placement of concrete.
• General labourer assisting wet trades.
• Ground worker undertaking the installation of underground services.
