• In charge of approval of vendor drawings and calculation for topside structures.
• Prepares the weekly and monthly engineering part of Progress Report for KIPIC
• Responsible for checking and approval of Civil and Structural calculations and drawings of subcontractor consultants/designers before issuing for construction.
• Develop design drawings and calculation for construction permanent and temporary structures (onshore and offshore).
• Checks clashing of structures using Smart Plant Review and Naviswork
• Checks the correctness of 3d model as per latest drawing of civil and structural
• Coordinates civil and structural engineering with other engineering disciplines.
• Assist subcontractors or direct hires the interpretation of drawings as well as providing support in the resolution of technical problems.
• Conduct on-site inspections and troubleshooting investigations as required.
• Attends weekly engineering meeting with Project Management Consultant (AMEC-FW) discussing all civil and structural issues included in the Project Package #5
• Assisting and coordinating with Piping Engineers in checking for the required pipe supports using pipe stress analysis calculation.
• Working closely with Lead Mechanical Engineer in determining necessary equipment supports.
• Assisting and aligning designers/subcontractor response with Project Management Consultant’s comments on drawings and calculation reports.
• Revising designer’s calculation and drawings if there are clashing with other EPC and for constructability purpose.
• In charge of checking and approving of Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) detailed drawing and calculation.
• Ensures that the foundations are stable and in line with the PEB support details.
• Responsible for checking the stability of construction materials e.g. Platforms, Scaffolding Formworks, Tower Crane Foundation, etc.
• Detailed design of highway and drainage system
• Checking the structural design calculations and drawings of contractor’s consulting team.
• Responsible for checking Steel Supplier’s (e.g. Mammut Building Systems and Zamil Steel) technical proposal, approval and construction drawings and documents before releasing to project managers for construction
• To coordinate with deep foundation contractor (e.g. Trevi Foundations Nigeria) for the design of driven and bored piles
• Conduct soil analysis based on CPT results
• Prepares Foundation Design calculation and detailed drawings based on the steel suppliers’ column reaction
• Prepares analysis and design calculation for concrete and steel structures using Staad and Autodesk Robot.
• Works directly with CAD operators and draftsman to ensure that mark ups are on a timely basis and that all drawings are thoroughly checked for correctness. I may also be required to supervise and train these personnel.
• Works with Architects and MEP Engineers to ensure proper coordination of drawings.
• Solving structural issues and preparing recommendations and conclusion for project managers.
• Prepares structural solutions for refurbishment of existing steel warehouse.
• Conducting site inspection and meeting regarding technical issues concerning structural.
• Supervise and review the preparations of construction method statements with construction personnel.
• Preparing technical and material submittals.
• Planning and maintaining project budget and schedule Planning.
• Attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals.
• Take part in the project management review and risk management review.
• Coordinate between the construction and engineering teams ensuring that the construction requirements are conveyed to the engineering teams and that the engineering deliverables satisfy the construction requirements
• Managing the cost analysis and cost control of site activities.

• Prepares detailed structural design and analysis calculations of various types of industrial facilities for Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industry such as underground utility chambers, Pipe supports (e.g. loop structures, pipe racks, pipe bridge, thrust blocks, etc.); and for other structures such as Workshop Buildings, Substation Buildings, Pumping Station Buildings, School Buildings, Storage Tanks, Rail Road Tunnel, Multi-cell Utility/Drainage Culvert, Box Girder Bridges, AASHTO Girder Bridges and Flat Slab Bridge Carriageway
• Prepares quality assurance and control documents for structural jobs.
• Works directly with project engineers, designers, CAD operators, and draft men to ensure work activities are coordinated. I may also be required to supervise and train these personnel.
• Checks and reviews all structural drawings and other discipline drawings to ensure proper coordination with the structural drawings
• Responds to queries/comments addressed by the clients on the issues/concerns relevant to the design of structures which are part of the progress design stage
• Prepares engineering analysis and recommendations for technical queries by a client/contractor with regard to structural issues
• Reviews and checks construction contractor technical submittals to ensure that all requirements as per engineering drawing and specifications are met and in accordance to applicable industry codes and practices.
• Prepares Structural Design Basis Report
• Conceptualizes a structural design that will meet the codes and standards in accordance to the project specifications as well as the consideration of the most appropriate structural system, constructability, local codes, availability of resources, etc.
• Prepares detailed design calculations and sketches for technical bridge structures
• Coordinates all structural drawings to other discipline drawings in order to avoid clashing and to resolve conflicting issues at its early stage to meet the target deadline
• Thoroughly reviews drawing packages before their submission for client’s review
• Performs bridge ocular inspection and material take-off
