• As the ELV/ICT Manager/Sr. MEP Coordinator. at China State Construction Engineering Corporation in Kuwait, my responsibilities include overseeing the installation of electrical and low voltage systems in construction projects. This involves coordinating with other Main Contractor engineering disciplines, Specialized subcontractors’ and with PMC/ Supervision Consultants and the client.
• Managed a process re-engineering project to improve and consolidate end-to-end design review processes; restructured communication flow among all project departments, achieved through several phases. Firstly, we coordinated design reviews, followed by coordination with local authorities using design drawings. We also coordinated composite shop drawings for construction and temporary installations, ensuring they were coordinated with permanent installations.
• We established a construction process and sequence, confirming that all MEP systems were superimposed and coordinated on the composite shop drawings, as well as submitting required plans and sections. We also managed the detailing, costing, price negotiation, and scheduling of electrical projects associated with ELV/ICT systems.
• oversaw the whole project and coordinated with the commercial department to sign the contract. I ensured that the project and team performance were monitored and controlled, and deadlines were met in compliance with company policies and guidelines. I documented all correspondence related to technical, commercial, and contractual issues.
• Additionally, review construction and shop drawings, we prepared RFI's for technical clarifications in the drawings and specifications., review subcontractor progress reports.
• Furthermore, as the Project Manager (Electrical/ICT), I oversaw the whole project and coordinated with the commercial department to sign the contracts. I ensured that the project and team performance were monitored and controlled, and deadlines were met in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
