The whole studying program extends for 5 years (10 semesters) on full-time studying basis. Daniel obtained a scholarship for high media grades and took the opportunity to assist teaching basic physics and Solids' Mechanic courses for undergraduates. In order to obtain the degree, all students must develop a formal investigation and submit a thesis, that must be exposed and defended in front of an experts' panel. Daniel's thesis theme was: "Construction problems in Buildings' Structural reconditioning: Three case Studies", where he emphasized in the works performed on the Country's Central Bank structure, part of the centenary San Rafael Hospital building and a 5-storey office building that was turned into a hotel (Parque del Lago http://www.parquedellago.com/) after a series of seismic events at the late 1980's and bigin of 1990's. Daniel's thesis work received a recommendation for publishing.
