Key Responsibilities : Team Lead / Engineering Design Manager / Project management
• Ensure all projects are executed in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with customer expectations.
• Involved in recruitment, development and retention of a best-in-class engineering and project team.
• Review staff performance, conduct performance appraisal, identify training needs and prepare staff development plans.
• Lead design reviews for multi-million dollar projects involving engineering, quality and production departments.
• Develop processes and tools for delivery, monitoring and reporting of engineering work scope,
• Attend client meetings as required to support the team members technically and ensure client satisfaction and confidence is maintained
• Ensure collaboration between Project Management, Engineering and other operation functions to guarantee smooth and successful completion of projects.
• Monitor projects progress and report projects summary to higher management highlighting the area of concerns on cost, time, and scope constraints.
• Ensure the risks identified for each projects are mitigated or actioned by the respective project managers or engineering leads.
• In charge of process improvement assignments for projects and proposals team through lessons learned sessions, operational excellence projects etc.
• Lead the projects department in all matters related to the Company HSE plan and HSE House Rules.
• Responsible for managing the work flow process and QHSE business plan for projects department.
• Conducts techno-commercial reviews and risk assessment for all bidding jobs.
• Define objectives and set KPI’s for the projects team and evaluation of achieved against target data.
• Assist production manager in forecasting and capacity planning of shop floor activities.
• Promote and encourage cross functional interaction and initiatives
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness meetings.
Key Responsibilities - Business Development
• Technical and Business Development support for Metering and Sampling product lines.
• Actively and diligently, promote the products and services throughout the region.
• Initiate, plan and execute the product line approvals with major end users in the region.
• Prepare, submit and present the technical and commercial pre-qualification documents as part of vendor approval to end users.
• Identify sales opportunities, prepare competitor analysis and capture customer orders, maximising revenues and profitability.
• Present product portfolio / new product developments / new product opportunities to internal and external customers.
• Ensure that all variances between budget and actual sales performance is identified, understood and reported in a timely manner
Role Highlights:
• Served as the team lead in Oil & Gas projects and is responsible for complete handling of skid mounted packages from design to delivery including testing.
• Successfully supervised engineering, design, project management, manufacturing, testing and commissioning of over 50+ custom built Skid-mounted packages including Injection packages, transfer pump packages, slops pump packages, demin packages, RO units, flush water systems etc.
• Reduced customer complaints concerning delayed delivery by 90% and delivered packages ahead of the contractual delivery date by the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
• Recognized by senior management as a quick learner and was promoted as team lead reporting directly to the Factory Director.
• Experience in preparing performance bonds, bank guarantees, purchase requisitions, invoices, expense sheets etc.
• Selection of control and process instruments (flow, level, pressure, temperature etc.), supervise its installation and provide adequate support in troubleshooting activities.
• Worked with Quality Control department for scheduling inspections, preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Hydro Test procedure, Weld Maps/WPS/PQR, NDE procedures, Blasting and Painting procedures etc.
• Supervised production department activities for the fabrication of skid structures (AWS D1.1), storage tanks (as per API-650, UL- 142, ASME Sec VIII Div 1), piping spools (ASME B31.3) and equipment assembly.
• Responsible for the review and approval of data sheets, drawings, procedures and other non-material requirements.
Role Highlights:
• Lead highly qualified team in overhauling of paper cutting machines and multi-coloured printing machines.
• Reduced lead time in dis-assembly, repair works and re-assembly of the machines by implementing lean principles
• Conducted toolbox talks and safety awareness meetings for shop floor technicians
• Trained technicians on health and safety aspects of the work and monitored shop floor activities
• Designed special lifting devices for simplifying overhauling works. This has increased safety of the process and reduced lead time.
• Supervised the dis-assembly, repair works and re-assembly of paper cutting and multi-coloured printing machines.

• Prepared working schedules, execution plans and reports.

Was awarded Honors Degree. Research Paper titled "Design and Optimization of a Collapsible Type Refrigeration Box" was presented at the International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing and Automation (INCAMA 2009)
