• Admits patients, following doctors admission orders, observing, charting, recording and prompt reporting of patients condition; Referral to different departments.
• Gives direct nursing care and identifies the needs of the patient.
• Assisting Doctors in examining patients and procedures.
• Carrying out Doctors orders in quick and fast-paced manner.
• Performing IV cannulations, infusions, injections, wound dressing, nebulizations etc.
• Coordinates and directs patient care to ensure patient’s needs are met and hospital policy is followed
• Input patient’s file and progress in the HIS system
• Responsible in giving high risk and controlled medicines.
Job Description:
• Gives direct nursing care
• Identifies nursing needs of the patients
• Plans, gives and evaluates nursing care
• Assists patient in moving, maintaining proper alignment of patient’s body and utilizing good body mechanics
• Observes medical aseptic technique
• Observes signs and symptoms, institutes remedial actions when appropriate and records these in her chart.
• Report observations to the physicians.
• Observes and responds to patients emotional needs.
• Interprets to the patient and his family their roles in providing successful therapy and rehabilitation
• Assists physicians when examining patients.
• Administers and charts medications and patient’s reaction to medications
