• Responsible for operating the radio room equipment, and maintaining helicopter communications.
• Maintaining continuous watch of all radio equipment and emergency calls in the radio room and operate the radios.
• Maintaining radio and communication equipment in an orderly manner.
• Maintaining the radio room in a clear and orderly manner.
• Assist the OIM / BS with filing documents and paper work as directed by the OIM.
• Co-ordinate the distribution of e-mail messages.
• Keeping logs of all communications.
• Keeping POB records.
• Advising the OIM / BS of any required scheduled or unscheduled maintenance of all communication equipment.
• Equipment Specialties: Communication used Radio VHF-DSC / HF/ MF and Satellite Communication Equipment's and GMDSS Radio in case of distress include Aramco Emergency Radio's control Inmarsat Radio's and controlling NAVTEX Receiver message's in case of ship's emergency call, Aviation commutation System, computer literate. Operating SART and EPIRB in Case of Distress.
• Communicate with people on remote operations, including aircraft, mining, and offshore oil rigs.
