• Oversaw and led three (3) industrial projects for our client JX Nippon Mining & Metals Philippines in coordination with Japanese Managers, while directing trade workers including supervisors, foremen, tinsmith, welder, HVAC technicians, plumbers, pipefitters, fabricators, insulators, and helpers in project execution.
• Managed a team of trade workers by providing them with daily tasks, workplans, targets schedules, methodologies, while resolving site conflicts such as pipe clashes, rerouting, MEP integration, manpower allocation, existing structures, technical and design issues, lack or shortage of materials, quality issues, and safety concerns, to ensure smooth project execution and efficient resource and manpower utilization.
• Conducted quality inspections and pre-commissioning and testing of all MEP systems, such as for CHW/CW system, fire protection and gas suppression system, and process piping, with welded joint G.I. pipes via non-destructive test spray (NDT) and checking of shop drawings and P&IDs, as for leak test via hydraulic test or pneumatic test, then pipe purging. While for HVAC, leak test is done via smoke or light test, air volume or airflow/velocity test via anemometer, and air balance test. For plumbing system, via gravity test to determine leakages and ball test for sloping.
• Led implementation of international standards and codes including NFPA 13/14/20/25 and 72, UL, JIS, ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME, IPC, and local regulation for all MEP system including chilled water and condenser water system, DX system, fire protection and gas suppression system, HVAC, plumbing system, and process piping.
• Analyzed shop drawings and P&IDs to develop material takeoff (MTO), verify material requirements from project specifications, and coordinate actual site condition to engineering design team for revisions to ensure installation readiness.
• Prepared progress reports, method statements, and project closeout documents including submittals, as-built drawings, snagging list, and T&C documentation.
