• SHE systems for Decommissioned and stripping of electrical substations, mining plants, high rise buildings, mechanical demolition and steel structures
• Co-ordination and control of the safety program and implementation of the Company SHE system, Project Specification and any relevant legislation pertaining to the company’s activities
• Internal auditing and auditing of all sub-contractors; ensure compliance
• Safety costing at the start of new projects.
• Developing policies, procedures and work instructions and ensuring management approval
• Site establishment; Preparation of Site layout plans, Development and implementation of evacuation plans
• Compilation of monthly statistical reports, incident investigation and reporting (w.c.l.2 & Annexure 1 forms).
• HIRA, risk assessment methodology, review plan and risk registers specific to a project
• Developing project specific, sequential method statements, risk assessments and safe work procedures; communication and reviewing of documentation at set intervals
• Induction training, awareness trainings, developing tool box talks and communicating incident recalls
• Developing, implementation, communication and continual improvement of project specific SHE Plan, fall protection, demolition, environmental, waste management & excavation plans
• Daily inspections of all active work, noting of deviations and implementing corrective measures on action sheets.
• Ensure all legal appointments are up to date, appointees are trained and competent.
• Inspecting and signing off DSTI / daily mini risk assessments and all daily registers on site
