Position Operations Manager - Current Duties To ofer extended commitment ensuring operational standards and eficiencies are met and maintained and playing an active role in developing strategies consistent with the company's focus to attract and maintain clients, increase market share and build long term relationships within the industry.

• Ensure continuous control and adherence to budget guidelines on a daily basis
• Ensure projects are completed within time, scope and budget
• Quality assurance to maintain work standards
• Assist the Regional Operations Manager with the growth of the division
• Clinical Management in line with the HPCSA protocols and applicable scope of practice
• Compliance with Health and Safety regulations
• Responding to primary calls.
PAST AND CURRENT CLINICAL ROTATION
• Operational ALS Paramedic: 2014 -2019. Operational Advanced Life Support Paramedic working primarily on a rapid response unit servicing calls in the Durban and surrounding areas. Each shift comprised of a four day cycle (2 days, 2 nights) with each duty comprising of a 12 hour shift. This equates to a sixteen day month comprising of 192 hours per month. On an average day, responses can range between 8-12 over a twelve hour duty for a day shift. Night shifts are not as busy averaging between 4-8 calls per duty. For call categorisation, 90% of the call volume falls into the primary response category and the remaining 10% of calls are Inter facility transfers which includes ventilated transfers. Typical patients include trauma (MVA polytrauma, industrial accidents, Muculosketal injuries, falls, gunshot and stab wounds) and medical cases including AMI, Neurological insults, COVID, obstetric, cardiac arrest, toxicology and abnormal rhythms. There is an average of two patients transported per shift equating to an estimation of 32 patients per month. Primary responses are split between a mixture of predominantly trauma and medical. Pre 2019, invasive airway management was facilitated with Opioids and Benzodiazepines as my scope did not permit me to use paralytics at this juncture. On an average month, intubation was performed at an average of 2-4 times. This includes stats for cardiac arrest cases.

• HEMS: 2018 - Current. Flight Paramedic: part of a two man ECP crew based at Virginia Airport at an average of 6 duties a month with a duration of 12 hours per shift on a rotor wing aircraft providing a 24 hour service. This equates to 72 hours per month with an average of two missions per shift. Each mission can vary from one hour to up to six hours depending on the distance traversed. Calls are generally split 50/50 for inter-facility and primary calls. Post ECP qualification, Intubation is now facilitated with induction agents and paralytics. RSI is performed at an average of 1 to 2 per month. Typical patients include trauma (MVA, falls, industrial accidents, TBI), medical (AMI, CVA, COVID, Obstetric emergencies) and IHT including premature ventilated infants, septicaemia, HMD, Congenital pneumonia and a mixed variety of medical and trauma intubated and ventilated patients on multiple infusions.

• Operational Current (ECP): In my capacity as a base manager, it is also within my job description to respond to primary calls as well as assist crew that requires assistance especially when I'm in the vicinity. On average this equates to around 2 calls per day on an hour day. In addition to this, I'm also on standby afterhours, when not actively on duty. I am routinely dispatched on calls when operational resources are stretched. This
equates to roughly around 10 calls per month. In totality, the average tally of responses per month equates to 50 calls per month with an estimated 25 call being transported to hospital. RSI performed at an average of 2-4 per month.
